These guys bring in a wealth of information that contributes to our search for a solution, I've tried doing anything/everything I can and really want to push the crowdfunding initiative with my marketing and graphic design experience. Just like adam k said, god knows nobody is going to help, we need to end this disease ourselves, which is why I really want all of us to come together and end this nightmare but far too many people are unwilling and letting finasteride get a pass. Yeah, I know it works, its not even debatable, at this point I'd say its the best treatment and easily the most effective PROVEN treatment. But I've also said before that once a cure comes out (follicle multiplication, neogenesis via wounding, stem cells etc) finasteride WILL be seen as a shit treatment and I'm going to stick to that because anything short of a cure in 2014 (we're getting close) is unacceptable to me and should be for everyone else considering the lousy side effects everything else has:

Fin: impotence, libido, depression, brain fog, gyno, weight gain, etc
Minox: shedding, wrinkled skin, flaking, itchiness
CB: potential skin atrophy
FUT: strip scar, donor loss
FUE: moth eaten look and some scarring, donor loss
RU: brain fog, gyno, etc. same symptoms as FIN

You know, I think many of us are allowing the sides to slide is because we're so damn desperate that we value our hair too much that we jeopardize other areas of our health. Any outsider who isnt balding would look at that list and say 'damn, those are some SHIT treatments' especially considering that no NW7 has gone to NW2 or below. Now, I'm not an NW7, but I do feel for everyone, so I'll basically say whats on everyones mind as noones willing to say it.

Sometimes though, seeing how my hair loss has affected me, I wish I could pause a moment in my life, step back and say 'This is not my life.' I'm sure many other balding guys feel very much the same. Recently I met a guy in Toronto who's also going through MPB, and while his hair loss isnt as severe as mine, I can tell its affected him negatively.

Theres millions of us... a multi billion dollary industry thats taking the piss out of us as most of that money is being funnelled into treatments thats absolute shit and all the while society LAUGHS at our misfortune. We're not a joke. I won't stand for that. I want to see every snake oil con artist salesman get their fair karma, I want to see these bastards suffer the way so many of us have for so many years.... and I'm only two years into my treatments... but god damn it, I do NOT want to allow any more years of my life, limited as it may be in time, go by worrying about this shit and being socially gimped.

You didn't list some of the major setbacks with half of these limited treatments:

Fin: is ineffective at regrowing new hair
Minox: is an absolute joke at regrowing new hair
FUT: Borderline barbaric, maximally-invasive, cannot create anything close to a full head of hair, costs a ridiculous amount of money
FUE: Very invasive, cannot create anything close to a full head of hair, costs a ridiculous amount of money

I don't disagree with any of this. What I disagree with is you calling people out as the reason there is no cure because they haven't kicked down the doors at Merck or are simply using fin because it's their best option or you freaking out at the mere mention of fin, when you continually inject it into every thread.

Propecia was an epic commercial failure, it's not preventing any new treatment from coming to market. Using fin does not make you complacent or guilty of suppressing a cure. Hellouser, I've seen you making quite a lot of useful and interesting posts but I'd have to agree that you're about to enter Ironman territory. It's of course totally ridiculous to blame random people here for hairloss. A lot of people here are actually even trying to help out, either by analyzing if methods/therapies do work as advertised or doing their own trials/case studies. People are doing their best they can, how is it their fault that there's no cure yet ? It's a ridiculous claim.
