On previous studies they didn't release the results for more than a year after the study was completed. Perhaps having good results this time, if the rumor is true, will make them want to announce the results sooner.

Further thought - % absorption into scalp is known to be low via standard application - you can probably improve a material % through always applying to wet scalp and/ or use of DMI etc

    All helps

Re Bim 5% - would love to say yes, but highly doubt we'd have a economical source. Kane is around $800+ a gram so for 5g for 100 days at 5% / 50 mg ED, so you're looking at a lot!

We could probably get a fair reduction if we had a 500g / kg group buy but still be miles off RU let along minox (50 bucks for 25g)

Commercial manufacturers will be able to get it down as will be producing for a mass global market however our volume (those on these forums would be a miniscule fraction of that). Over time I think it could fall nicely, but not for a while.

Yeah obv but I was talking about the time span in which this would happen, not so much whether this was going to happen or not. But yeah, let's wait for the results first *fingers crossed*

well yes inevitably if it starts getting mass produced it will get cheaper.

but this is all pure speculation! I'm anxiously waiting for the results of this trial, good or bad and I really hope they dont take extra months to release them like they did with IIa

    I dont think its a one-time treatment.

Well we should know the results within the next 2-3 weeks. I'm very excited but trying to remain cautiously optimistic. If it proves superior to minox, I don't care what it costs I will start using it.

"Though the patient always had minimal non-vellus hair growth in the same regions, this had increased in number, thickness and length after starting bimatoprost [Figure 1]. The patient's IOPs were maintained at target level. The patient's medical history was unremarkable with no intake of any other drugs. The prostaglandin analogue was stopped and instead dorzolamide and timolol fixed combination was started. When the patient came seven months later, the hair growth did not show significant reduction."

Of course, since for her it's a side effect... they make it look bad by saying it's an adverse event that became permanent with time, I'm not surprised.
