Cost and you still lose hairs in donor. HASCI therefore recommends not more than 3 HST's.

The answer is they stay forever... as in they don't shed permanently. You posted this once before man, stop asking the same question that has already been answered lol

try doing your research a little more before posting on here because this question has been asked a million times...but RU proved better than fin at the 6 month mark, but we don't know long term. There are people who have been on it for 6 years without losing hair...and safety, who knows? but the people that take RU are usually taking it because fin gave them sides. If you are going to use RU, use it in the KB vehicle because it was designed to eliminate any possible sides..and works for most.

Is RU more effective than Fin? And does RU have lesser sides?

I should also add, that what completely pushed me over the edge on fin was the brain fog setting in...when that started occurring, being a premed student at a top ten college in the world, I got my priorities straight...I can't have any foggy thinking, I need to be sharp at ALL times. Sacrificing the ability to have good sex and think clearly for hair is absolute insanity.

The problem with finasteride is that it's tough to know you're having a problem unless it's a drastic change from your baseline. The sides come on over time slowly and it's tough to see them when you're assessing everyday. The patients in these trials may have been having trouble but just weren't aware yet, so the data doesn't reflect the true rate of sides.

For me, i noticed gyno flare up pretty quickly, it was within a couple months. Plus i had very big mood swings when on it. I'm normally very steady in that way, but on the drug it was a different story. I had other sides too, like shooting pains in my balls that would come and go randomly. I never linked it to finasteride until i started reading up on it well after i quit taking it. The worse part was that a lot of the sides i was having, i didn't become aware of until i stopped the drug! When i ceased taking it, i started getting much better sleep and having more vivid dreams. My energy level started seeming higher (really it was just returning to normal) and i stopped putting on weight so damn easily. Most of these things were not apparent to me when i was on it, but, afterwards, when my body came back to normal, it was shockingly apparent.

DHT is an important hormone. There is no way in hell you can inhibit it's production without consequences. There is just no way.

I won't touch it, or anything else that messes with hormone levels again.

Yeah I think they number is pure bullshit. I didn't believe in side effects before I started the drug, I'm a really strong person mentally and I thought it was just all in people's heads. A few days after starting at 1mg my balls started to ache, then a week later my penis was just dead...like it wasn't connected to my brain or even a part of my body. So I dropped to .5mg a day and sexual sides continued, then to .5mg every other day, then .25mg every other day and I experimented with various low doses even trying .25mg once a week and eventually the sides would always come.

I've been off fin for months now and I'm still not back to normal. I can perform sexually and get it up and what not, but I'm nowhere near as horny as I was before starting fin, my libido is still decreased and my erections are not back to full strength again. I will never touch that ****ing poison again. (unless it's in topical form, we will see where that goes..I will wait for it to be trailed and come to market before switching from kb/ru.)

I think finasteride causes sides more prominently in younger people, when DHT plays a bigger role in the body. It's ****ed up that this drug is FDA approved though after it has shown to cause PREEMINENT sexual sides in men, it's on the damn bottle for christ sake...I love my hair and will do just about anything to keep it, but sex is more important than hair...and we are getting closer to a real cure every day.

Yeah i know that decreased libido/chemical castration feeling. I tried fin for 4 months and had sides. One day, i went to a huge rave party where there was a ton of almost naked hot women. Funny thing, it wasnt turning me on. This is where i realised that this stuff cant be good for a man and stopped fin. After discontinuing the drug libido got back to normal.

How did Merk come up with 2% figure?
I would argue that everyone that uses propecia have decreased libido/lower sperm volume, people don't like admitting, sometimes they are not aware of it.
    Look at spex and spence, they are both turning into a women, you can tell they are lacking that real manly energy;
chemical castration..i was like that too till I decided to drop it, never looked back

Some time ago there was a poll on HS. I dont know the exact numbers anymore, but do remember the percentage with sexual sides where WAY WAY higher in that poll. I think it was more than 30% of the users.

*EDIT* I think it was this one: http://www.*************/hair-loss/p...poll_id-4.html

Of course it's only a small poll, but still, I'm sure we can conclude that that 2% is pure bs.

*EDIT2* link doesnt post, but indeed over 30% (on a 55 users poll) having sexual sides.

I won't ever touch finasteride again in oral form, HST's are better and don't kill your ****.
