If by the sixth month you notice stabilisation and slight thickening then you're gonna be fine for a long time to come

On a serious note though, 7 years is a longgg time! U should look into some kind of preventative measure if u can

But we have to be patient! Realistically speaking it won't be available worldwide at least till 2020...

What's important is that we have a working solution. That is the first step to happiness

Alright, yea.. it feels hopefull when we get these kind of news although it's couple of years away.

I'll probably be slick bald NW6 by then so I hope it won't cost a fortune.

You know what Clarence, I read all 5 articles Tsuji team has published and non of them mention anything about the hair density they achieved!

I'm not sure where these articles had found these claims!

On a side note though, I'm not very familiar with hair transplants. What kind of hair density can you achieve these days with a densely packed FUT?

Tsuji Labs on the other hand is actively trying to regenerate hair follicles for transplantation! If you read their paper in detail, they are literally creating "hair germs"; hair germs are formed in the embryo and turn into hair follicles when you are born! They implant 20 of these in a 1cm2 area (which is possible with our current technology and was done in their previous study) and that would give you over 100-120 hairs/cm2!

That is far more than a cure! You literally get the hair density that you had when you were 12!

Pretty much, what Tsuji is working on now is finding a method to grow the hair germs to maturity in a human to allow for FUT implantation!

Over the past week, I have read ALL scientific literature published by Tsuji Lab relating to Hair & Tooth regeneration.

Tsuji lab has most definitely found the cure! They have a 3D scaffold to grow the stem cells and just recently we have found the means to expand these stem cells in culture! (i.e. multiplying hair follicles)

However, the Tsuji team found that even though implanting hair germs worked in terms of forming hair follicles, it yielded hair follicles with different sizes and orientation which were aesthetically unacceptable!

So, they designed a second study, which involved implanting the hair germs in the "subrenal capsule" of mice (an area of kidney) and allowed the germs to grow to an acceptable maturity. They then extracted these mature hair follicles and implanted it on the back of the mouse neck using the FUT method!

Pretty much, what Tsuji is working on now is finding a method to grow the hair germs to maturity in a human to allow for FUT implantation!
