I think the hair multiplication stuff is at least a decade away if even that. I think CB 03 01 is the best nearest option right now the old proven androgen route is still the most proven way to keep hair.
Transplanted or not we always need a way to keep the hair we have and propecia is not good enough.

A hair transplant is looking more and more like the only option for me in a couple of years. It sounds to me like there will be nothing for years to come and HT's would get better throughout those years of waiting, i'm sure.

We need Histogen and Aderans as intermediary treatments. Agreed on ***** that 2020 noise.

You say 2016, what will happen in 2016? And the Histogen 28-31% increase in hair density wasn't that supposedly from a low dose or not the full treatment, and more injections would equal more hair density?

Thanks for this thread, you are probably the nicest and most optimistic guy on this forum. Keep it up. But you sound so excited when you say 2020, while to me it's depressing, you are even more patient than me.
I agree with Patiently here. I think it's great to be optimistic, but 2020? Even waiting until 2016 for a new treatment seems decades away. I guess that's how it feels when your hair is experiencing a slow death.

I'm 27 now, I want to enjoy my youth with a head of hair. I really hope something comes out soon because all this 2017, 2020 stuff makes me even more depressed. And that's a big IF something comes out at that time. I have heard this jingle before...

Anyway, thanks for the info Desmond. Much appreciated, yet still very depressing.

Thanks for your support, knowledge and updates Desmond. You seem like a person that has a lot of knowledge on the subject. The whole thing seems really promising, but like some say, it`s a long way down the line before it`s here...but let`s keep positive!

What do you think about Dr. Nigam and the treatment he is offering? I`m considering to go for a treatment at his clinic. Since you are a person of great knowledge on the subject, maybe I can ask you what you think about this.

Regarding Tsuji, hopefully they can hurry up!

I have to agree with Patiently, if my hair loss continues in the same phase as now I'm going to be bald by 2014. Hopefully will fin maintain the little hair I still have and the sides won't appear.

God damn.. hair loss is depressing like hell

And thanks Des for the sharing and support

That is a full proof regimen Histogen should be available in 3-4 years and CB0301 should be released in 2017 which will make systemic DHT inhibition unnecessary! That alone should make your whole body feel MUCH better...I personally hate taking fin!

Increasing the number of Histogen injections should definitely produce much better macro photos and ppl will be much more excited about it! Ppl should NOT be expecting cosmetically visible changes from a mere 8 shots!

The way I see it, I can put up with this for another 8 years to have a full head of hair for a good 30-40 years...trying to see the cup half full is the only way out of this mess LOL

    I hear you brother.

Realistically we are looking at 2016-2017 for new treatments that will maintain the hair you already have PLUS some regrowth. Now, even though, Propecia and Minoxidil are already able to do that, the best results you may achieve with these are 10-15% increase in hair density. In current trials, Histogen achieved an average of 28-31% increase in Hair density in all age groups regardless of treatment area (i.e. temples vs. crown). That is roughly DOUBLE the regrowth!

We should also hopefully have Tsuji Labs which engineers unlimited numbers of brand new follicles sometimes between 2020-2022! This will be the ultimate cure everyone is waiting for and the wait should be worth it

So, I suppose since these treatments are still quite sometimes away, you should start a hair regimen and do as much as you can to maintain what you have till we get to 2016! Minoxidil, Fin, Nizoral are all proven effective! Pick the ones you feel comfortable with and stick to them.

Hope that helps brother...let me know if you need anymore advice

That's depressing. That's only human trials? Wow.

How about the others? Will there be ANYthing available to purchase in the next couple of years? When will Histogen's Phase 2b/III trials start and when will they be out on the market to actually start treatment?

To you, sure, but safety is also a major issue. This would be completely irrelevant if it had the potential to cause cancer.

    That is awesome.

Hopefully this news will help Tsuji overcome any obstacles as well as other labs working on other treatments for other health issues.

So what about today's news, Desmond:
Stem cells and tissue-specific cells can be grown in abundance from mature mammalian cells simply by blocking a certain membrane protein, according to scientists. Their experiments also show that the process doesn't require other kinds of cells or agents to artificially support cell growth and doesn't activate cancer genes.
