Just to make sure, you're recommending this stuff for people with alopecia areata and not MPB, Right? I have used a couple of tubes of clobetasol propionate for Alopecia Areata, and have a big tube left. It was prescribed for me, for AA.interesting... a bunch of people were regrowing hair left and right on hydrocortisone:

yes, we already for a fact that it binds to DHT without affecting any other hormones unlike fin/dut plus it's dose dependent so the more you take of it, the more effective it becomes.
The only problem with it is the cost. No one knows the exact dose needed but > 50mg of that stuff daily for sure would halt baldness permanently(not ~5 years, PERMANENTLY!) but that much would cost you > $200/month... too much unless you're a celebrity
we need big pharma to get involved with this. Merck should start making it since they could do it so super cheap and because their Propecia patent is about to expire anyways...Comment

I will order some Folexen and i will start with 10 mg per day and then will try more...
If this is the permanent cure and can stop all my hair loss i will work crazy and buy a lot of this stuff...but we need more information...

He didnt recommend me nothing but i talked with them about some treatments...
The best obviously is Fin...but i have terrible side effects...

It has suppressed Alopecia Areata. The AA on my scalp is no longer active. I will have to wait for the next hair cycle to see if new hair regrows. As far as regrowing hair that was lost by AA, no it hasn't. I mean as far as a cosmetic difference goes, it hasn't. So to answer your question: Not that I know of.
The only treatment that made a cosmetic difference, and regrew a lot of hair that was lost by AA, was corticosteroid injections on the spots. It's been the most effective treatment by far.Comment

That's a possibility. But I don't know if there's a such thing as injecting clobetasol. If it could be done, then I don't see why it shouldn't be more effective.
My dermatologist did warn, however, that applying clobetasol will be less effective than corticosteroid injection. But I insisted and they gave me the clobetasol propionate ointment. They were right, it is less effective. Because i'm applying it, rather than injecting it.
I wonder if taking oral corticosteroid would be more effective than applying it.Comment

I wish we AA sufferers could some how signal our white blood cells to stop attacking our hair follicles. "Alright guys, stop attacking the hair follicles, they're your friends".
I mean what type of explanation for AA is, "You're immune system is attacking your hair follicles".Comment
