It's not like he's a fraud or anything. He does legit PRP, and apparently adds Vitamin D and a few other things to it. However, he charges an exorbitant amount - $5000. I suspect some of the patients who had good results (based on before after pics he shows) may have started taking the Big 3 at the same time.

Do you have an understanding of PRP? How in the world can someone charge $5,000. Studies show that PRP works, if at all, with repeated use every 3-4 weeks for around 5-6 sessions. I know you must be feeling desperate, but why don't you just go to a PRP doctor who charges more around $600-$900 (I can't name my doctor, but there are a few others in NY - Dr. Jeffrey Rapaport (10 mins away from NY in NJ - I've been to him once but don't think he does the most efficient PRP and barely spends any time on you, i.e. activating PRP, dermarolling after, etc)), Dr. Halland Chan (on park ave, with good reviews and I've had a friend who went to him and was really happy). Get treated 5-6 times by these guys. One session of PRP isn't going to do anything. Even some doctors I spoke to aroudn here mentioned Amiya Prasad and his tactics - how he tries to get away with charging exorbitant prices, and has a couple of different websites + pays for google adveritisng to have his sites at the top when you search PRP manhattan, etc.

Nofintowin, hello, hey you previously mentioned Prasad was a rip off, ive been researching the treatment he offers and the results he claims because im considering going with him, could you tell me the negative feedback you know or heard of him so that I can have more info, because as you said, he has a good internet presentation and I havent been able to find negative reviews of his treatment in the net, if you could please share with me what you know to help me evaluate him as an option, id be very grateful

I tried to email her but have not received a response yet after 3 days. Did she answer <3 days to you?

This is a very interesting development. Backed by several studies, accessible and not something you need to take every day

only AAPE - would be willing to try a good meso c0cktail, but haven't yet looked into this. Any idea where to buy a quality meso vitamin combo?

I'm happy where I'm at right now. Even if I start with my current hair as a base, and slowly increase the density/growth over time, I'll be happy. Seem like 6-12 months is more realistic for progress to show, which is fine.

By the way, something interesting I just noticed - a hair of mine just shed. I noticed that for the hair, it was much thicker from the bottom to 75% of the way up, and then thinner on the top 25%. Wonder if my previous 4 PRP treatments are responsible for this - pretty interesting

Damn, if I were to get this I don't know which doctor I can contact that will administer this to me.
Also one thing to note, the study that was linked showed it could give some regrowth but over a longer period of time. Basically a patient in the study showed some cosmetically significant regrowth well after two years of AAPE being administered to him.
So you guys will have to play the long game.

Just had my first session yesterday. Much quicker than a typical PRP treatment - didn't even have to numb the scalp as we used a 31G needle (as per the March 2015 study). I'll post some before pictures soon - the doc took some good pics, and plans to buy a trichogram to complement this.

NOhair, and others, to buy the AAPE, reach out directly to heavin@prostemics.com - she's really quick and she's the rep I interacted with. I initially reached out to the generic company email, which they forwarded to her (took me a week to get any response before they forwarded the email to her). But, she herself is quick. I asked her if I could have give her email to other consumers, and she said she had no problem with this.

Sorry for the derail @hellouser. How to find someone willing to inject AAPE? That's kinda tough.

it's definitely tough. a lot of them don't offer acell. i found a doctor within 12 miles of me that does 6 sessions for $3600, it's a dermapen with PRP package (every 6 weeks). apparently they don't do prp alone. that's way way cheaper. acell would work great with that, but it sounds unlikely they'd do it since they are unfamiliar
