Do you mean the one I just posted; http://journals.plos.org/plosmedicin...l.pmed.0020124 ?
Check on the right you can find way more studies related to the subject. I wish I had read those beforehand reading studies. Eventually I found out myself. Bottom line is that hypotheses fail incredibly often. Findings are often false. Bias is prominent very often. Contradictions occur often.
Why the hell would we believe the PGD2 theory? What because someone has a hypothesis with 0 factual real proof? Look at how he runs his mouth; “2 millions for a treatment better than minoxidil & propecia” lmao. Just think about that statement. Do you seriously believe that? Or that he has a full blown out cure but it needs 20 millions to come to fruition? Man if it really were to be true his house would be loaded with hundreds of people looking to invest into him lol.
What evidence is there for the PGD2 hypothesis? An in vitro (in a petri dish) hair follicle model which shows that the hair follicle stops elongating by administering PGD2? Well it stops elongating by administering DHT, TGF-B, P53, DKK-1 and some other molecules too.
Or perhaps we should take faith in Follicept, in a rat model which shows that IGF-1 does better than minoxidil? Well if that is the case then go start buying procyanidin b-2 as it outperforms minoxidil by 300% in a rat model in terms of growth. Or some herbal preparations.
I’ll tell you scroll back in this forum. You’ll see the same thing occurring over and over again with 100 treatments. It’s hilarious. When you actually ask them for any real evidence, those dreamers can never reply. They’ll give you a rat model, an in vitro model or better they’ll say this; “BUT COTSARELIS IS BEHIND IT!” “BUT A PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY PUMPS MILLIONS IN IT”. We see how it goes; finasteride & minoxidil still at the top. Nobody can show better results till now.
I think you get my point. I just picked up a study in biology to answer your question. Furthermore I have read many studies about (hair follicle) biology, still continue to do so because I enjoy it. I bet if you will start to read them you will be just as skeptical as me. Evidence is what counts, not some loose talking. If we go by the concept of loose talking we would have cured cancer now, I would look like brad pitt and we all would be cured from AGA 20 years ago, on top of that you would have a pill which would transform you into Lazar Angelov. Well reality is different.
Eventually better treatments will arive, just don't count on them short term. You won't get me excited anymore with loose talking, evidence is what I want to see. Till now I don't see any of it.
