Final Days: Chinese Scientists Have Solved the DP Culturing Problem! (2014)

Corruption and corporate money "influence" is a problem worldwide. The FDA like nearly everything else in life, is a mixed bag. For example, the FDA has its heroes and heroines. I might have spelled heroines, "heroins". Unfortunately more people die from legally prescribed drugs than illegally obtained substances.
On the other hand, in the sixties, pharmacologist Frances Kelsey, Ph.D., M.D.,famous reviewer for the U.S. FDA refused to authorize thalidomide for market because she had concerns about the drug's safety. Her concerns were justified when it was proven that thalidomide caused serious birth defects in European countries where it was available. Kelsey's career intersected with the passage of laws strengthening the FDA's oversight of pharmaceuticals.

I agree with you I think the whole world is fed who with Ba**** corrupt FDA trying to be the world boss. Its about time people told them to get stuffed and people around the world should start taking their business some where else. I for one would truly pay my business in a different country rather than those FDA Goons.

Once the nuts and bolts are mastered, the FDA and equivalent agencies overseas will need proof the resulting treatment isn't cancer causing. "Stem cells" raise a red flag. I am optimistic though.

"The researchers were able to reduce the levels of the protein by genetically modifying the cells so that they produced less Oct 4.
During embryonic development, pluripotent cells that have the capacity to become any cell type in the body can either renew themselves by multiplying in number or differentiate to become cells found in different parts of the body, for example skin or liver cells.
It is important for researchers to be able to increase the number of these cells so they have enough of them and they can be turned into other types of cell.
The scientists at the Medical Research Council Centre for Regenerative Medicine at Edinburgh University found that when there were lower levels of Oct 4, the protein bound much more tightly to key parts of DNA – the genetic material – in cells.
The research could help improve the way in which stem cells are cultured in the laboratory, providing a better understanding of how cells divide and multiply or generate into different cell types."
