Great News Indeed. It's a good sign for the future. But we won't see anything soon.

Remember, We will see "5-years-cure" bullshit in many News, so don't get excited.

We are getting closer to a cure, but no know how much closer.

      Well keep in mind that:
      1) Tsuji labs already proved that this is the last step
      2) Jahoda grew hair on human skin, but his method needed improvement to retain gene expression
      3) These Chinese solved that last part.
      4) That Taiwanese group is starting clinical trails with 3d cultured DP cells NOW, you can bet that they take info like this into account.

So the future does look bright. Very bright indeed !

Hope these trials stay away from FDA, we should all go to Japan if they succeeded .

some people already see with injections into the scalp .....
cortexolone 17α-propionate was discovered there over 10 years ....
have not yet on whether the market in 4 years .....

histogen, RepliCel, follica, Aderans ................... are liars.
            will all have 50-60years .........

I know you are probably the most knowledgable poster around here.

What do you think about this last study?

Actually, a bit of an optimistic outlook on this:

All these guys have much quicker access to the information than we do. More importantly, I'm 100% sure that these papers were finished some time ago as well. There are also papers out there that have yet to be published. The trials taking place in Taiwan could have already known about everything anyway, so perhaps those trials will be the holy grail trials.

2014 is looking to be a lot more promising than 2013. This is really exciting!

On another forum members have asked me to use my design skills to make an infographic on hair loss, similar to this:

I'm more than willing to do something like this that can summarize everything about baldness:

                - when it starts
                - why it happens
                - how it affects a persons psychological state
                - how society demonizes baldness
                - how many people are affected

But where I would lack in info is clear as mud explanations of the stem cell research and whats needed to get it out the door as quickly as possible (please dear god no more f**king FDA trials!). Essentially, I'd like to bring awareness of baldness!

Again, thank you Desmond for sharing the info!

He's not, Desmond is easily the most knowledgeable and its not even debatable.

Dude, i've been in this game long enough to know who is whom. Desmond is really really good and a great person but this guy Iron Man is like an evil Bryan Shelton lol.

                    I'd really appreciate his opinion.

ugh - can we stop with these yawn-worthy threads about 'miraculous findings of some Taiwan/Chinese research team' a million miles away?

The 'better treatment' we're all hoping for is half a century off, we're down to about 3 companies who are all in financial difficulty and ALL unable to show any solid proof their concepts grow ANY new hair whatsoever.

Its over - I'd check-out of this forum and perhaps return in erm... *looks at watch*.... 30 - 40 years maybe? Then we should be about 5 years off from a better treatment (not a cure).

Before i forget, UK, hope you keep your word of not coming back for a long long time.

Yo are one of the worst poster man, full of negativism and no knowledge whatsoever.

Start reading and studying and you will find out why are we all excited about this findings.

30-40 years is a very pessimistic prediction. You should read up on some of the prototype technology that people heavily involved in the different science fields has already seen. It makes things like growing hair pale in comparison.

While I think the chances that a treatment/cure will come within 5 years is highly unlikely, I think 20 years is a safe bet, not that it does any of us any good.

And I agree with a poster earlier who said that this progress might not entail that we are close to a cure.

It's like fixing a car. You fix one problem thinking it is the main problem but then you find out that the car still doesn't run because there is another huge problem that was masked from the previous one.

Can't stop them. They're on a roll, no matter how much negativity. All this progress in the last few months have been insane.

So close I can taste it, keeping the faith!
