Officially ? Years. It needs to go through years of clinical trials, so I guess 7-9 years would be realistic. But that's in the Western world. Of course I'm hoping that in some Asian countries for example it can come earlier due to shorter trial periods and then there will most probably be clinics offering this in unregulated countries like India, although that does certainly come with risk as outlined before ...
But before we even talk about that ... let's see what WCHR in May brings us ...
hmm i really hope they come with something good. Suppose I say 3-5 years in Asia: would that be an accurate guess? And sorry to ask so much questions but i remember I read an article about some doctor who would transplant all you hair from the back and the side to the top: Do you think that is an good temporary alternative for this?

Who knows but I think it might be possible. Japan for example is fasttracking a lot of this type of research so I certainly think that this could be possible. But again, before even talking about that, let's see what WCHR 2014 brings us in May ... Fingers crossed.
One day when there is a solid option to bring back NW7 to NW0, us hair loss sufferers will have the best hair styles in the world. It'll give us more appreciation than the lucky men that never had to go through this grooling process. Can't wait for May.

thanks man
The Theory is great, so 3-5years in asia is a solid guess, but we have a lot of hurdles to get over.
definitely positive news lately, just a lot of things have to happen before its a reality!
HT's are always an option and if you go to Turkey or India they're only about 2-3$ per graft which is half the price of NA!
pfff my friend uploaded some old high school pictures today. I saw my hair. I became very sad. I didn't took the time to use some gel or wax. And now I look at all these Cristiano Ronaldo looking mother f'ers and I am so jealous
Yeah I'm also jealous of all those 18 year old kiddies who will have that cure availabe when their hair loss begins and keep on telling ME how irrelevant I should be about my hair loss. Life can be very unfair.
Just use that as a reason to see another part of the world and count it as a vacation. I'd love to see India (Turkey I've already been to).
haha I'd probably prefer Turkey myself, but i'm definitely saving up travel money, but I can afford to just stay on fin for another year or two maintaining most of what i have and hope to hear some more positive news for hairloss, if not, HT in Turkey it is!

I'm planning on a scarless Pilofocus procedure when its out (late this year? early next year?) and continue with topical DHT inhibitors as a 'bridge' until stem cell therapy is available. It's taken me 10 years to go down to NW3 so a single HT of 2,500 grafts would take me back a loooooong way.
Regardless, a strong push for a quick release of a stem cell therapy is needed for everyone, not just lower norwoods like myself... but especially for guys that have had their lives destroyed by this shite.
