With youtube being a free resource, the conference should be livestreamed.

I bet Desmond will have info for us though.

How are we supposed to get updates from this thing? Wasn't aderans supposed to present today?

This is why the cure for hair loss is always "5 years away", every year we hear about these supernatural discoveries in labs somewhere and then nothing comes of it, or something happens that takes forever to bring to market (bear in mind NOTHING new has come to the market since the 1980's!!!!).

This hair loss convention seems more like groups of scientists getting together and talking about whacko science that is probably 50+ years away from being on the shelf - mostly mental masturbation.

I'm seriously not impressed, all we need to know is an update from Aderans and Histogen, **** everything else.
    This is why I made the case for someone to ask the hard question;

'What good are all of your findings if in the last 20 years none of you have done anything better than Finasteride and all given us 5+ year timelines with frequent delays? What is stopping any of you from making anything a legitimate commercial product and why isn't anything done to address the roadblocks as is clear by the empty promises and fizzled claims?'

We're all tired of bullshit. You'd think these geniuses with all their supposed knowledge and findings could see the potential to bank on a procedure and make a ton of money off this and better yet, improve the lives of MILLIONS of people worldwide.

    What a disgrace.

Sorry Des and BB, it is however easy for people who have followed forums like BTT for years to feel that we've heard so much news and progress before that leads nowhere.

OK guys, up until today the only treatments that have been available were only through serendipity (i.e. Minoxidil) or hairloss scientists actually working actively towards a solution to AGA (i.e. Propecia, Histogen, Aderans, Replicel, etc)

Now, here's one factor you're not taking into account! Regenerative medicine has changed the game altogether! You have scientists ALL over the WORLD working on ways to regenerate organs! Lack of funding for hairloss is no longer relevant!

We have labs multiplying stem cells, printing them in 3D, implanting them, conducting long term trials on them ALL ACROSS THE WORLD! I would guess there are over 20,000 scientists working on these breakthroughs!

Once, we can generate one organ we can generate most of them...albeit some may be more difficult (e.g. liver)...

We will be able to regenerate many organs in the next 10 years and hair follicles will most definitely be up there in that list!

So, plz don't underestimate these breakthroughs! Everyone of these findigns is relevant to us in ways you can not imagine!

Keep it together guys...Love you all

    -Des

The meeting this week is the perfect opportunity for these guys to get together, I wish that they use it to everyone's advantage and don't just waste it.

Anyways Aderans is actually presenting tomorrow morning. Seems like we have no way of knowing what they'll say though right?
I am sure if you email the organisers they will provide you with a report of the conference...what was said etc.

I can't believe that there would be no record of this and I'm sure it would be publicly available
