Sorry Des and BB, it is however easy for people who have followed forums like BTT for years to feel that we've heard so much news and progress before that leads nowhere.
7th World Congress for Hair Research (2013)

This is the thing, all of these great new discoveries in University labs are all well and good, but they will all need to go through a process of clinical trial and then become marketable products which could take in total more than a decade.
(Havent Wake Forest been printing organs for the past 7 years?, It's nothing new!)
This is why the cure for hair loss is always "5 years away", every year we hear about these supernatural discoveries in labs somewhere and then nothing comes of it, or something happens that takes forever to bring to market (bear in mind NOTHING new has come to the market since the 1980's!!!!).
This hair loss convention seems more like groups of scientists getting together and talking about whacko science that is probably 50+ years away from being on the shelf - mostly mental masturbation.
I'm seriously not impressed, all we need to know is an update from Aderans and Histogen, **** everything else.
Like I said before, someone needs to call out these fvcking slackers, stand up at the conference and ask a blunt question for a direct answer;
'What good are all of your findings if in the last 20 years none of you have done anything better than Finasteride and all given us 5+ year timelines with frequent delays? What is stopping any of you from making anything a legitimate commercial product and why isn't anything done to address the roadblocks as is clear by the empty promises and fizzled claims?'
We're all tired of bullshit. You'd think these geniuses with all their supposed knowledge and findings could see the potential to bank on a procedure and make a ton of money off this and better yet, improve the lives of MILLIONS of people worldwide.
What a disgrace.Comment

So isn't all this stuff taking place now? Where are the updates? This thread gets like 100 posts a day but now on the days that there's stuff going on, there's barely any posts. Does any one know any news?Comment

Hit the nail on the head... This is the most listless day on the forum and paradoxically it's supposed to be the hair congress.. Oh well I should have guessed this would happenComment
