    Hi guys!

Just wanted to let you know that everything seems to have gone fine.
I will update with some more information and pictures as soon as I have time, but right now I am travelling and have lots to do.

I will not dissapear from the forum, which some people tend to do after their HST is done.

I have some pictures of the petri dish as well, however, I am not sure that the quality is sufficient. Anyway, I will upload them as well later.

      Hi everyone!

Now, lets finally give you my update.
I did my HST at HASCI on april 22:nd. I had booked a 1200-1400 grafts session. Fortunately, we were able to extract a little more grafts than that. According to HASCI 1535 grafts were extracted.

Feels a bit funny uploading these pictures of my head looking freakishly red and everything. Ah well, here it goes. I will split my update in a couple of posts right after each other.
The pictures are, unfortunately, with varying quality and taken with different cameras, so this will be no perfect documentation. But at least I hope it should give a decent picture of the procedure. The size of the photos were also pretty scaled down before being able to upload them here, so I guess I could perhaps provide some of the pictures with a bit higher resolution if requested.

The procedure started with taking some before shots and then laying face down as the grafts from the neck and sides were extracted.
Here are some pictures before the surgery, on the donor area during and after extraction, of the petri dish and finally a picture where the planned hairline has been plotted out.

After the hair line had been plotted out with a pen, Mrs Small made all the holes in the recipient area. After that the staff implanted all the grafts in the holes.

First a picture of the donor area a couple of hours after extraction.
Then some pictures of the recipient area right after the implants.

Here is one picture of the recipient area one day after the surgery as well as several pictures of both donor and recipient area taken six days after surgery.
          That's it for this update.

What do you think about the pictures?
What do you think about my situation? Do these 1500+ grafts feel pretty much like a drop in the ocean, or do you think they will do a massive difference?

If everything turns out well I am counting on doing at least two more of these transplants at HASCI. However, I am still not sure this will be enough to save me from my hair nightmare...

Like I wrote in my post, I am thinking about two more.
However, it is possible that I will have to do a bit more than that.
Depends on how my donor grafts are feeling as well. If they actually recover or not...
But right now I don't even know if the result of the first one will be any good.

It will make a noticeable difference, but you will for sure need at least 2 other procedures imo

Does anyone else have any comments to the pictures from my HST?

I have uploaded them in this thread now, but they are on the previous page, so you don't see them just by viewing the last entries in this thread.

                    Hey guys!

Here is an update. These photos are taken today, which is 15 days after my HST.
I guess the transplanted hairs haven't fallen of yet?
If you were to make a qualified guess about the final result of this HST, about a year from now, will the recipient area look better or less good compared to how it's looking right now? I don't really know what to expect.

Right now I feel okay about my decision to go ahead with the HST.
I just see that the hair loss all over my head is pretty severe. I have also gotten some pimples in the scalp which makes it look a bit nasty I guess.

I think the hairline they designed is very natural and gives you a much stronger frame for the face. Everything looks very nice at this point. If the results hold up over time, it should be a significant improvement over where you started, which is impressive considering that the procedure is relatively small.

The donor, of course looks pristine. I think the buzz cut you have now suits you quite well, so it should be very comforting knowing that you can always go with that route in the future if you choose to.

im in month #9 and couldn't be happier.

i think you will be quite happy.

Another procedure on the crown-- maybe with some sprinkled up front, and you could have a nice head of hair (with a little toppik in the back)-- or nice shaved head.

As is, I think you'll be able to shave your head and have a nice framed face.

congrats...2-4 months and itll be coming in...6-7 months it'll get THICK.

... and 3-4 years later you will lose them all again ...

So, ENJOY the transplanted hairs at least a few years!

Censur , I am very happy for you brother-
Do yourself a favor by NOT speculating what the condition of your HT will be in a few years. You have had some GREAT work done by a well respected clinic young man. Focus on the now, enjoy the hair progression that you will certainly see every day..I am jealous--lol.
Thank you thus far for sharing your experience Censur !!

Care to share any photo's ? Would love to see it ! I'm at month 6 next week and will post another update end of next week. Also, in your experience, what was the amount of regrowth in the last 3 months ? Was it about the same as the months 3-6 ?
