So, ENJOY the transplanted hairs at least a few years!
    What does this mean?
Aren't the transplanted hairs taken from the safe zone? And they are not supposed to fall of??

Hard to tell. I didn't keep good track, and grew my hair out immediately after surgery... after two years of a shaved head. I believe I have close to 100% growth in recipient, and there is no noticeable difference in my donor-- so assuming a high regeneration back there too.

I found some pre-gho photos, I will make a different post for my photos... not very scientific, but

I asked this question directly to Deborah (i.e. "are the new hairs permanent?") and her response was, "Yes, you will have them for life".

censur i wish you all the best for your procedure. I've just tried to explain the doubts of my dermatologist about this new procedure in a previous post, but some persons instead try to discuss about it, go on having fun because they have done hst and don't want to know nothing more. I really hope that your regrowth lasts for the rest of your life and even when you will born one more time when ironman will tried to **** a girl despite masturbates on youporn..... wish you all the best

                      Hi again guys!

It has now been a little less than two months since my HST.
All the transplanted hairs have now fallen off and I have not seen any growth in the recipient area yet. I do realize that this is perfectly normal.
I'm not expecting to see any growth until around the 6 month mark.
My donor also looks very good. Basically untouched.

However, I must say that my hair in general really does look like **** now.
My frontal area, where the grafts have been implanted, looks more thin an ever before.
I'm justing wondering if this could be the effect of shedding?
I mean that the inserting of the new, healthy grafts have caused some of my weakned existing hairs in the recipient area to fall off prematurely?
Or maybe my hair loss has just progressed even more, but I would think this time frame would be too short for a noticeble difference.

To the guys that have done HST as well, how did you experience your first months after the HST and before you saw any growth?

Hi good to hear from you again! Did you take a before pic so we can compare to your current situation?

I have actually taken some real close up photos, the new hairs for me starting growing at about week 9ish, but they were so tiny that I literally couldn't see them with the human eye. I noticed them getting stronger by about week 13. Everyone is different of course, but you'll see something before the 6th month mark I'm sure of it.

I would suggest taking 1 photo per week as close as you can with the flash on whilst keep as still as possible to avoid blur. I'm not suggesting you upload your photos, but just for your own piece of mind.

I've not heard anyone mention shedding with HST before, but it happens with normal hair transplants, so I guess it's theoretically possible with HST too.

                            Hey guys,

Just want to give you an update.
About three months have now passed since my HST.

My donor area looks great, I don't anyone can see that I have done something there.
However, I have not yet seen any improvement in the recipient area.
But then again, only three months have passed.
Therefore, I don't think it would add any value if I uploaded pictures of my current hair state.

I am still very hopeful that this will look good when it has grown. But I can't help feeling a little depressed right now, since my hair is worse than ever before.
I don't think this will be a problem, but....
Is there any real risk of having a very bad percentage of graft growth in the recipient area? And in that case, what could be the cause such a failure?

What you can do to make you feel better: shoot a close up picture of your recipient. In the picture you'll most probably see very thin new hairs, that are very hard to see with the naked eye. This is regrowth just starting (at the 3 months mark there's a very good chance you'll be able to see it).

Time for an update. If you look at my first post in this thread you will see how I looked before my Gho procedure. I have also posted pictures of how I looked right after the surgery earlier in this thread.

I will now post some pictures of how I looked on the 25th of july 2013, which is about 3 months after the surgery.
Not so much change there yet I guess if you compare to the pre-surgery photos...
