This is why you take drugs for hair loss. Sitting around going bald and waiting for the next big thing, is no way to live IMOComment

That, or at least hair loss drugs from today slow down your hair loss, and if you take the right combination for a prolonged period of time, you might even see thickening and regrowth. That eases the pain at least a little bit.Comment

We got one drug that works and shitty minox. This can't help us for another 6 years. I seriously thought histogen would be avaible in like 2 years in asia or aderans going into phase 3 soon is going to take another 5 years? I don't get it, last month it was like oh another 2 years and now its like 10 years.Comment

I've been part of hair loss forums since 2009 officially, and in 2008 was only a lurker and I have been reading the 5-10 years away stories since day 1. I know one can say "Well from 2008 + 10 years is about the time frame where new hair loss treatments would be available". Nope, not even that, now it's 2020-2022 and I would not even be surprised if in 2016-2018 we are still reading the 5-10 years away posts.Comment

Do you need to maybe stop playing with the drugs, before your ramblings get even more incoherent...? Hey, considering you just picked up something from Desmond's post and then you just made up some stuff about what he had supposedly said earlier... And StayThick gives it a stir by hysterically reacting to the "news" that we'll have to wait to at least 2020 for Tsuji Labs... And then we have this gem: "I don't get it, last month it was like oh another 2 years and now its like 10 years." What??Comment

You tell me: "I don't get it, last month it was like oh another 2 years and now its like 10 years." Man, just what the hell are you talking about??Comment

I'm not "hysterically" stirring any pot. I'm just as anxious as the next guy for the next best treatment to come out, but what I was stating was simply the obvious...the next best treatment is years away. Nobody knows when Histogen or Aderans will be released or if they ever will be.
It's just depressing watching the market for innovative treatments move at a snails pace. Maybe you're satisfied with that Propecia garbage, but frankly I'm not. Regarding my remark to Desmond, it's just frustrating and hard being optimistic when we are in year 2013 and we still only have Rogaine and Propecia as our only options.Comment

So yeah you pessimists can say stuff like "it will always be 10 years" but the REALISTS out there will say: they already KNOW how to do it, they just need to find a way to mass produce it and do the clinical trials to get it approved.
And regarding that mass production, if you read the article I posted on the previous page, then that looks damn promising too.Comment

I admit it, sometimes I can't help but thinking that somebody in the market want us hooked on what is available right now, luring us into believing that someday in the future we will have something more effective.
But then again, yes, progress is being made and I think we are doing our part here in this forum...as long as we don't argue.Comment

I'm hoping (and expecting) Team Tokyo will shortly follow. And then it will take years to find out how save it is to use biogenerated organs, created out of induced stem cells in humans. But again, most imporant here is: they ALREADY did it ! They already found THE cure against hairloss AND tested it to work in a proof of concept: http://www.nature.com/ncomms/journal...comms1784.htmlComment

It's just that these clinical trials take so much time. Team Tokyo last year said they wanted to start clinical trials within 2-3 years, which would be 1-2 years from now. Personally I think it will be a bit longer and more realistically would be 2-3 years from NOW. The first clinical trial EVER using induced pluripotent stemcells is expected to start in 1-2 years: http://ajw.asahi.com/article/behind_...AJ201303220009
