just had a thought after reading this:

the white house promises to respond within 60 days from now on, for successfull petitions.
not that it would change things dramatically, but if we could put up a professionel petition where today's shitty situation with the FDA is clearly explained, also compared to the new laws in japan, we could raise a lot of awareness, and with a bit of luck it could go viral.
further we would be sure that the white house guys read the stuff and give it some thoughts at least.
such a petition could change things for the better... but ithas to be put up in a professional way.
i think you, hellouser, have a good sense for such kind of marketing and raising awareness.
the best case scenario would be, that the U.S. adopts the same laws like japan, at least when it comes to cosmetical procedures.
just an idea. tell me what you think about it.
Or better yet we could use a petition to ask the White House to implore the Senate to pass the 21st Century Cures Act in the form that the House turned it over to the US Senator and we could also ask the White House to implore the Senate to wrap it up quickly because people with health conditions want the drug delivery process sped up.Comment

Yea and we could do a petition asking the White House to ask the US Senate to approve the act in the same form that the House sent it to them and to implore them to approve it fast so we can speed up the process of getting drugs to market.
But we should not mention which drugs or conditions we are interested in.Comment

What do you mean luiza? We as in hairloss research or we as in grow this brain? because we have already grown it? Look there is still a long way to go but it's always good to gauge where science is right now. In fact if you are looking at it just in a hairloss point of view ignore it all and see that they had 99% of gene expression.Comment

Reading more into it, it is the actual method of creating the IPSC they used which is being patented. Exciting times for iPCS's.
There are sceptics in the science community and they are also fair because this hasn't been peer reviewed. But to be frank something unpatented with military links isn't going to be until it's solid. Could bode well the military links and their skin/HF work though.Comment

I know that the peptide is used in gastrointestinal damage but to target actual stem cells to activate is awesome.Comment

Regarding Singapore researchers, it may be more important that i thought:
"Singapore scientists from A*STAR's Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS) have, for the first time, found further evidence of how the differentiation of pluripotent cells is tied to and controlled by the cell cycle clock. This deeper understanding of how cells become differentiated is extremely important when considering therapeutic potentials."
There's a national skin center in Singapore and a research area regarding hair biology and regeneration:
Hair Biology and regeneration is a new niche area of research for NSC given its high prevalence and clinical relevance. The core aims to establish a cohort of patients with various hair diseases for genetic, epidemiological and clinical research .
