Now they just have to get the dosing down and all the other bullshit that comes along with creating products.
Yes the vehicle that they have discovered can be a serious game changer. Even if IGF-1 doesn't work (I sure hope it will) like they expected they can always try other stuff or add things to it. Penetrating the scalp is no easy task and if their vehicle is as effective as they say it is, this is still great news

What about Ketoconazole? I have no idea if their proprietary transport gel can somehow help transport the ketoconazole molecule into hair follicle cells... if yes and I apply a naive way of thinking this could put the ketoconazole in large amounts in the rights places and act as a great anti-androgen.

Follicept gel (*FDA approved) + Nizoral(FDA approved) = great fun :P

Keto will never works to complete stop hairloss progression, and it has his decent vehicle as shampoo and cream, it compete with testo but it's barely useless it can help in cleaning scalp, less oily and less infiammation, igf istead is lacking when you have hairloss so the science behind is complete different

i hope devon has some news, it's wednesday

Not quite true. The vehicle is not that much of a game changer for hair loss. Only for transporting larger molecules. There has been no effective molecule identified besides IGF that this will be useful for with hairloss. There are several ways to penetrate skin, and I doubt their vehicle magically lets the IGF saturate the follicle only. This may or may not work, but people are getting their hopes up with really no proof so far.

PLEASE LET FOLLICEPT RUN THEIR TRIALS BEFORE WE TALK BACK UP PLANS.

Again, if they can deliver IGF-1, there may be no need for fin/minox/keto.... that would be like suggesting you take a road trip to the destination that you're already standing at.

Unfortunately I doubt he'll have news.

These things take forever. WHich is why everyone should be trying to locate igf-1 for him.

why did they have to say on their website they are starting "in the next week or so"

who was compelled to write that when it's not the case? it just goes against basic principles of decency

They probably didn't forsee obtaining igf-1 as being such an issue... as we know that is the single factor holding things up.

Otherwise, it sounds like the trialists, branding, biz strategy, formulation/vehicle materials etc are all ready to go... so they may have thought they were ready to hit the ground running.

I think some people have to stop acting so entitled on here. Devon will post the news here if / when he gets it. He's been good enough to come on here and talk us through what is going on and he has been keeping us up to speed on a regular basis. We should be thankful for the info and stop whining and complaining when there isn't any news for a few days or the operation hits a few snags and speed-bumps.

Yes, some of the time-frames suggested have been optimistic, the more sensible among us would have realised that from the outset. I'm sure they are trying their best to get the trials up and running as soon as they possibly can, and when there are developments, good or bad, we'll hear about them on here.

Hey everybody! Hope you all had a good weekend. As promised, it's Wednesday and here I am.

Be honest- who thought, since it's late in the day, that I was going to back out and disappear and was losing faith?

Anyway, I actually have more of an update than I was hoping to- some good news!

As far as the past few pages of comments, we are definitely not a typical company. We are small, and we really value working with the people we are out to help. It's important for us to involve you and understand what you need and want and get your input. Serenemoon hit the nail on the head. And we aren't asking for help with the clinical trial, but if we could get some extra help with supply, why not?!

As for gerbil/hamster studies, those cost similar amounts to just going straight to humans, so why spend the money?

We are open to licensing our delivery technology to other companies, and are even discussing with some already. But it WILL NOT be available just to sell to the public and let you mix in whatever you want. We need to stick to tested, safe products. Plus, we hope this will be effective enough on its own.

Dr. Hsu has alopecia areata- autoimmune so Follicept may not help but he is likely going to try.

Now, for the real reason you are here:

We found a supplier that should work for us in the short term. It was a company we had looked into before, but asked them some better questions and it turns out it will work. Thanks for your help in locating them.

We have ordered the IGF-1, and it's backordered but "will be delivered during the week of 17 April". We are also looking into other suppliers just in case.

As for the long term manufacturing, there are several reputed companies who CAN produce cGMP IGF-1, but just don't because the market is small and Increlex takes care of that disease population. So we are discussing with some of them to get going for the long term.

I will start a test on myself as soon as it gets in and will post video as I start and keep you updated throughout. Hopefully it will work with vertex, thinning, and hairline! We shall see.

In the meantime, we will probably do an AMA/ video chat type thing with myself and Dr. Hsu in the next week or so, stay tuned!

Thanks for all your help and support. It finally feels like things might be moving along. Sorry for the delay, we never thought it would be so hard.

                        Devon

This is exactly correct! And add in the fact that we didn't expect such an awesome response from the community!
