This is the best crowdfunding project we have ever organised. Lets at least get to $2000.

Thanks to everyone that have donated big or small. Ur all wonderful ppl.

Flights are booked. I'm flying on 10th of may with Cathay pacific. Lets hope it doesn't go missing mid air. Lol

I'm getting the expensive camera and tripod this saturday from a friend. Hopefully I figure out how to use it.

Ps the media idea is great! I'll contact the world congress to see if I can get a media pass to make filming talk more legit lol

Thanks once again guys. Lets get some good news from all this effort
I have an old MP3 player that can record audio, runs on a single AAA battery. I'm going to check and see if it works. If it still works, I'm willing to give it to you. The nice thing about it is that its really small, kind of like those old iPod shuffles that were about the size of a pack of gum (except not as skinny).

Thanks Desmond and to everyone else as well! Lets get it done!

    DOWN WITH BALDNESS!

Not sure if this was mentioned before, just got word from a friend that Lauster will be present !! Presentation P82, the one about growing follicles in a bioreactor, is done by one of his PhD students Beren Atac: http://www.medbt.tu-berlin.de/menue/mitarbeiter/

Well if Lauster is speaking, we should ask him why he vanished into thin air once he discovered how to grow skin with hair.

We also have to think about what can go wrong:

          1. Desmond's plane can crash, both to and from Korea.
          2. No equipment will be allowed inside
          3. Desmond might get lost with no translator
          4. A horrible case of diarrhea due to exotic cuisine and tap water
          5. A robber that preys on tourists, specially Americans with thinning hair

Holy shit! This is rather exciting, really exciting. About time someone from Lauster's team did something with their findings! Lets hope it benefits hair loss sufferers

Thank you Clarence! This support for Desmond is nothing short of amazing. I think we'll finally have a good idea of what to expect for the coming years and how we can be the change we want to see

In 2010 he did state he create artificial skin with hair follicles that grew hair... make of that what you will.

The hair follicle was a velus hair, without pigment and without arrector pilli muscle I think. Basically it was barely a hair. And that was one, imagine if you have to in economically viable and cost effective way create another several thousand of those in rather small amount of time and they have to be good as normal hair.

Source? This is the most information (in laymans terms anyway) I've seen in regards to his method

I wonder if that bioreactor presented by Beren Atac in next months hair congress will address the issue.

Whatever findings they have would need to go through clinical trials first.. unless, for some reason, somehow, they weren't needed... only country that caters to our need for omittance of such needlessly long clinical trials is india.

You'd basically have to hope that whatever is made known to grow follicles in large quantities would be carried out as a commercial product in India. However, I'd want to see a safety trial first... but realistically, I very much doubt anything negative can happen once a follicle is created and placed under the skin... its a grown organ using your own cells. You wouldn't really need to test it for safety as you can inspect it in vitro.
