So let's just say he goes, records the whole shebang, gets all kinds of info on the future of hair loss treatments. How in the f*** is that going to be any different than if no one went? Best case scenario he leaves with a bunch of information none of us can do a damn thing with. You guys end up out of pocket a couple hundred dollars and nothing but another round of the waiting game. I don't mean to be pessimistic but can someone please explain a better outcome?Comment

It's called being informed about the newest discoveries and updates with hairloss. You know, the opposite of being ignorant. My question for you is, why the f*** are you on this forum if being informed is meaningless to you. Sounds like a paradox don't you think there brother?
cichlidfort, I think the man has a point but I also think that you have a point. You're right that it's uplifting if we find out that a cure is finally discovered or even very close to being discovered, so scientific progress is cool to learn. But it isn't going to help us in the short-term unless we figure out a way to harness the information into an actual treatment in the short term.Comment

I really think that you're wrong. After Aderans failed it looks like the basic research scientists rolled up their shirt sleeves and set out to get to the bottom of this disaster. There have been numerous advances in the science of cell biology in general (not just in connection with hair loss) since Aderans started their clinical trials. We are in a totally different scientific world now than we were when Aderens first started their trials. I really think that the basic researchers are getting close to cracking this nut.Comment

It will get solved eventually. Safely growing hair only appears difficult. Many researchers have their heads buried in the molecules and often miss the bigger picture.
Consider that hair transplant doctors placed unnatural plugs for around 30 years. I have had to deal with that personally. I went to the same clinic for a hairline refinement and they placed more plugs on top of the existing plugs. The result wasn't any better. I knew next to nothing about hair transplants then, but even I wondered why they didn't split the grafts and place single hairs on the hairline and between the plugs.

Having common sense and being a book worm are two different things bud. All your posts are negative statements implying we won't see a cure for another 30 years. Literally, everytime you post that's the content of it. You obviously don't follow any of Desmond's threads and you don't understand the new coming advancements of the medical world. God you're going to be one HELL of a doctor...if you get passed med school that isComment
