Its good news but I am not that suprised it was only a matter of time before this happened. Really stem cells are what has given us all these new abilities that used to be science fiction. I hope it all turns out and we see results with everything working as it should.
I personally want CB to keep my hair much more though and 4 years is a long long time. Even 2 years is going to be painful. Maybe we can convince Cosmo to sell us the pure CB chemical and someone can sell us premixed solutions because I dont want to mess around making it but i want to use it

I'm a big fan of CB, hell... even think dut is a very good product. But they are all about preserving hair although some modest regrowth can be expected.

Multipliying and injecting fully functional DP cells is the real deal, and unlike others, i cant imaging this being too expensive.

Market will be bigger than huge

You sure about the next 20 years? There's been nothing but snake oil in the last 20. I wouldnt bet on anything.

Yeah, we'll just spend the majority of our lives bald! Cure will come out days before we die, lol. What a way to live.

Look at technology 20 years ago and look at it now and how fast it's developed. If you think the world is the same as it was before you're a complete moron. In 20 years from now, the world will be a much much different place.

                    I will bet on this:

I'm sure someone said the same thing 20 years ago and we're still where we were back then.

There's no guarantee for the next 20 years. Yeah, theres more going on right now, nothing is certain, even todays news from Desmond. Life always throws you a curveball... and you can be pretty sure there will be in the years to come with stem cell treatments and other stuff coming in for hair loss solutions; the FDA will be biggest curveball of them all.

If this turns out to work, then it will be 6-8 years before we can see it in official clinics. But I'm sure that IF this works, there will be clinics in less regulated countries offering way before that ...

Actually, it was out in 1992 but not for hair loss. Its been around for longer than that though... it wasnt discovered and released the same day.

Its definitely true that nothing is certain in this field until its all done and reproducible. Its nice to be optimistic, but until its done really anything could pop up an obstacle or happen to slow it down. I will believe it more strongly once I see some of these come together to form something more closely resembling a cure.
Even with this I think there are some more hurdles people probably cant think of. The devil is in the details and none of us know all of them or we would have done this ourselves. Its never as easy or simple as people explain in a quick paragraph so I think it might be a little longer then we first think

@desmond -> I put this on hlh too (credited you for the find)

Can anyone explain to a non-scientific dude what this means ?

                            - What is the problem they have solved and how is it groundbreaking?
                            - In which shape or form will a treatment be presented based on this find ? (injections on scalp with stemcell matter ?)

Arashi can you elaborate a bit on why you expect such a time frame?
