The only thing i'm interested in from all this is topical finasteride, because that is the only treatment I think isn't too far away, if it does become available.Comment

ditto. we need something to immediately stop future loss and get us headed back in the right direction so that when the next gen of treatments comes out we'll have less ground to cover. i might actually bite the bullet and buy RU this summer if we don't get good news from BNP-32 or learn that a topical fin is on the way within the next 6 months. Minox ain't doing shit for me so far, approaching 2 months and still shedding like crazy.Comment

***** topical finasteride, that isn't cutting edge. Who cares, really.
You can get topical fin right now, just crush up some pills and toss in minox. Or dissolve in vehicle. It's literally not special, and the incidence of sides experienced topically often times mimics those experienced orally, if it goes systemic.
Unless I'm missing something, and there's a different delivery method or something.Comment

Good, but not good enough.
First of, the work you are doing Dr. Nigam is highly appreciated and regarded! It`s great to finally see someone actually trying to make a difference, and dont just f### around with mice and all that. I know one should be carefull with trials etc, but my God it can`t be that hard to find some kind of cure or a better sollution than we have today. After my opinion we still dont have a cure because there are very powerfull people in the buisiness that dont want it to happen due to economics (easy way of saying it). I`m crossing my fingers that Dr. Nigam or anyone else for that matter, will manage to find a good sollution within the next year. Maybe we have it now aswell, regarding the claims of donor regeneration?
Now, regarding topical finasteride. It might be better than what we have to day, but still in the big picture this is not a good sollution. We have to get rid of this drug now. There is no way there should not be a better sollution for hair loss than this drug that we have had for so many years. I find it quit strange that we are still using the same drug that we did so many years back. Even though it is better than nothing, it is still not good enough. If this is such a good thing, and we have had Finsteride here for so many years, why have no one tried to do it before?
Looking forward to see the next pictures Nigam provides us with. Especially the follow-ups he had done the procedure on.
I`m putting my faith into the biotechs and doctors as the likes of Nigam. Hopefully they will carry "the burden" on creating a better sollution than what many of todays doctors have managed. We need some one like Dr. Nigam who is working his way through the corrupt system.
Stay positive, it`s froglogic!Comment

Good news Dr. Nigam, what a great month. However Topical Finasteride isn't a big deal really, Yes its more effective and gives less sides but its not really new. Its been out in the market years ago, Dr. Lee used to sell it mixed with 15% Minoxidil before FDA shut down his facility. Also Hasson & Wong are dealing with a pharmacy in Vancouver that crushed Finasteride and mix it professionally with Minoxidil for their patients who suffered sides from it orally. It would be great if it will produced officially and be sold in every pharmacy in a reasonable price just like Rogaine. Lets wait and see.
Dr. Nigam since you are in Europe, you better check this FUE workshop. Its very interesting

We know Histogen will make an announcement soon as they answered one of our forumers who emailed them (can't remember who) and mentioned they would have an update and a press release "within two months".
You should all know Histogen is also looking for a partner to continue funding research trials and later on launch the product. So long as they don't have a partner, we don't have a product.
Instead of freaking out about when they will release their phase 1/2A results ya'll need to relax and convey your energy into making money because guess what we know already Histogen works and we also know already it's not going to be the definitive cure. We also know it will come out in a few years from now and it will cost in between a HT and the current "FDA approved meds" so the best thing you can all do is start working hard and make sure you have 25K in your savings to spend on your hair in a few years.Comment

I wish nothing but the best to Histogen, Aderans, Replicel, Team Tokyo, and hopefully RU and CB become available in a much more convenient fashion than now, but I am 24 years old and I want to treat my hair loss right now, not when I am 30-35 years old.Comment

Hydroxypropyl-chitosan (HPCH) + RU58841
The compound used to reduce systemic side effects for topical finasteride was hydroxypropyl-chitosan (HPCH) which is a film-forming agent, I think we should consider whether this would be an effective vehicle in the use of RU58841 in the reduction of systemic side effects and also to increase the efficacy at the scalp level (which it did for topical Finasteride).
Combining these two compounds COULD theoretically result in a fantastic topical to treat AGA, however, the main caveat is absorbtion, will the absorbtion of RU58841 be affected by the use of this vehicle?Comment
