Yes it´s really good if this works!!! But i can´t see in these extreme situation why Histogen/FDA couldn't speed things.... No one would hate Histogen if they say that they will market a pre finished product that´s safe but maybe not as effective as a 2.0 version.

It´s really wrong to say that hairloss is only a cosmetic issue! Millions of people is having a hard time to live there life's.... Mental unhealthy is the worst there is! I promise that 60% of everyone having hairloss in young age rather would have constant pain in some body part.

Couldn't agree more with you eqvist. Hair loss/baldning is a pain in the ass emotionally especially when it affect young people.

Spot on how I feel during the worse days. It sounds really stupid but sometimes I just want to swap my hair loss to another even worse disease (chronic pain etc.)

All very exciting nonetheless. Just remember that every day that goes by is another day closer and another day to do everything in your powers to keep what you have.

Here's a question: Propecia has certain risks associated (I know I felt mild breast tenderness on even a low dosage) with its continued use. Would, if it was said with certainty that a product such as Histogen would be out in 4 years, you ride out the sides for 4 years? I know some people fear permanent ED, etc. Just something I've wondered.

For instance, say you get gyno on propecia. Obviously that isn't desirable. However, gyno is a lot more easily remedied than baldness. Histogen is released and you can either quit or massively reduce your intake of propecia, and reverse your gyno (via surgery). Very much like playing God, but hey.

        Thoughts?

That is concerning, I mean that could be our safer replacement for finasteride.

perhaps if they put together a scientific research paper they might get some air time, but as far as I know one has not been published. I could be wrong.

So the event is more about sharing research findings than publicising possible future products?

Can you imagine getting histogen and then looking in the mirror weeks later after showering and seeing increased density and your hairline creeping FORWARD... Gosh I long for that day

If they can further improve the product to yield better results then this is not so much a dream anymore, but a matter of time. Even with current results, we are pretty much sure we have an additional weapon that will do some significant good to our hair.

Our problem is that we may be too bald/thin at the time the product comes out to have a cosmetically relevant imrpovement.

Come on man, try to give the other guy some hope at least, just because things didn't work out for you.

If you don't mind me asking, what was your regimen in those 4 years between 19-23? Do you shave your head now? If you could go back, what would you do differently (if there was anything to be done that was under your control even?)

These answers would probably help that guy and myself far more than more simple negativity.

                                Hey buddy,

I am 22, I live in CA too... I started balding when I was 18 and I sense some anxiety in your post, understandably so. Here is what I have learned:
You can't defeat the genetics of balding but you can bald gracefully WITHOUT propecia or rogaine if you do the following: limit stress and anxiety as much as possible... Use T-Gel shampoo theree times a week... And eat extremely healthy... Look into the PALEO diet, you want to limit your blood sugar from spiking so that means eating no grains and a lot of meat and vegetables and nuts instead... You follow this regimen and I believe you will slow down your loss
