Here is my 1 month update although it’s more like 5 weeks. I wanted to wait until I shaved and since I have quite a few ingrown hairs it took a little longer. Still very early in the healing process and so far going very well. The skin under the chin seems to be a little thinner and taking a little longer to heal similar to what I experienced with the chest extractions on the previous 2 procedures. So far I have had close to 700 beard hairs extracted from this small area around and under my chin.
For the recipient area I left my hair wet so you that a better view of the skin could be viewed.

Hi Lounk,I did use some scalp hair on the last procedure but it is so limited that only a few hundred grafts can be used here and there then the area the lateral humps need to be reassessed. I don’t really have a heavy beard so there again only so much can be taken at any one time and it’s quite possible it all can be used only time will tell. As far as the chest hair the quality is such that it’s best used just for filler here and there and I must say the injections in that area were the most uncomfortable so I was glad to pass on it this time around and concentrate on the more robust areas still available.
On my views on where I want to be. My philosophy is probably different than most. I believe in slow consistent improvement over time and the key word here is consistent. What most fail to realize is that too much too fast often results in failure and this applies to many things in life. It’s like asking me where I would like to be both physically and mentally a few years from now, I don’t really know but I do know that I will be in a better place as I always strive for improvement, it’s the same with the hair the goal is open ended.
As far as being happy I’m happy right now with what has been achieved.Comment

Good to hear you are happy so far. You seem to have a plan for yourself to follow and you are methodical and patient. I hope it turns out well for you. Myself being 61, I don't have a long term plan. I would like to get to a good ending as soon as possible so I can enjoy it longer. I'll see where next weeks procedure will get me. It'll take another year to find out and at my age time is working against me. Don't have long life genes in my family. The opposite as a matter of fact. Thanks for the info on the chest and beard work and your picture posts. Very valuable. Best of luck to you.Comment

Looking good topcat, how many grafts did you take this time though? I can't say you need too many more hairs in their though, looks good man, so you hit your 3 month mark in February sometime? I think it's funny though when these clowns like Delphi come on here and try to harass honest folks who made an ill informed decision years ago and are just trying to help other repair guys out by posting pics, giving advice and knocking obvious misleading information that comes from those in this industry who want to play on the insecurities of young dudes, carry on brotha.Comment

Lounk good to hear that you are taking it a little slower. No need to take huge risks and completely destroy your life. Just make small improvements over time, you don’t want to end up like this guy. It’s just not worth the risk of completely destroying your life and this industry is very good at doing that to many for a few more dollars.

Is the QUACK in jail now? If not , he should be arrested and put in jail. I am surprised the patient survived and the gangrene did not seek into his brain.

And when it went bad but the doctor said it was normal healing.”
Is it really true? That’s what “the doctor” said?Comment

I got a chance to tune in to the show yesterday with Sunday being a good day for me. It was very refreshing. I did catch the comment about Dr. Bisanga being personable and very likable. I'm honestly not trying to promote but I don’t think many understand how important this aspect to the whole process is when having a procedure. I have found him to be honest, personable and a very easy going man. With that being said my own beard hair procedure could have been a complete failure and it would have been okay with me because it was a good person trying and that matters to me but the fact is he is very highly skilled and the work is excellent. For many demeanor does not matter and each patient needs to decide for themselves but sometimes condescending attitudes can affect staff and in the end that affects the patient at least that is how I see it.
I think doctors that exhibit these type of traits being personable and such force the rest in the industry to bring their game up and that is good for everyone but many do not see that for some reason, it’s good for the industry what is not to get. Same thing goes for trying to hide poor outcomes, it’s not necessary as nobody expects anyone to be perfect each and every time. The last thing you want to do is hide it or berate the patient as there are always two sides to a story a clinic merely has to explain their side and the reader can figure it out for themselves. Once again I will give BHR credit the few patients that seemed to have an issue never had their threads locked, posts deleted, posters banned or berated the patient. It is as simple as explaining the facts. Hiding or hoping it goes away is a very poor approach and gives the whole industry a bad name.
Same thing goes for forums. People respect honesty and if you run an honest forum people will figure it out and be drawn to it. Is it all going to be a feel good, positive love fest of course not that would be unrealistic and not an honest portrayal of what happens in real life. Are posters going to get angry, of course. Anyone that feels like they are being lied to along with others is very apt to express their outrage.
Nobody is against anyone just be honest.
I will be updating my pictures in another week. Outside of a few ingrown hairs the healing has gone very well. I believe that the skin being somewhat thinner under the chin might be the reason I have experienced a few more ingrown hairs than usual.
I'm not real big on using any type of supplements but I think Astaxathin is worth investigating as I feel it actually does something worthwhile for the skin.Comment

@Topcat, I don't think it would matter if you were trying to promote him as long as you weren't getting paid what's wrong with it. The fact that you put so much time in to help guys out speaks volumes and there is no need to apologize, but if you did promote Bisanga it would be an odd support when you tell patients to do a very very small session lol, I don't get the animosity against you on these forums man, unless of course these guys work for clinics who are promoting strip or whatever schemes they have in mind. I hear what your saying about Bisanga, I liked that I was able to talk to him, I think that matters, a couple docs out there would never get back to me, but Bisanga, Feriduni, and a few others did and that makes a difference. Yet I didn't think Bisnaga was the nicest guy in the world, but he did not BS me, he told me straight up what to expect and I know a story of him talking a patient out of having a HT, not a strip but FUE, because he was young and didn't realize the risks, on the other hand I know a couple clinic that wanted to book me that very day talking to their assistants over the phone. Feriduni seemed more optimistic that Bisanga, but he seems to know his stuff really really well. Most everything your saying is just common sense, it's nice to see that your getting fixed after helps so many. I wanted to share this though, has anyone here seen recell I have been writing about it here http://www.hairlosshelp.com/forums/m...ar&#lastunread, it looks pretty amazing check out pictures 15 and 16 http://www.examiner.com/slides...phs-of-recell-patients and I think if your case is fixed to this extent http://www.hairlossexperiences.com/v...90&forum_id=26 and you add recell then the scar is fixed and unnoticeable with the eye. I see no reason why it would be any different with the neck scar there in comparison to a ht scar, I know no one has written about it on a HT scar but I don't see the vast difference between the two and in my own personal opinion I think this is the thing that can fix scars as it sprays on actual skin over the scarred area and changes the scared area for good. I thought since people are watching your repair case they may be interested in recell, and from my understanding it should take away the dots from teh FUE if they turn out white, but of course topcat doesn't have a problem with it yet others might. Anyway, great to see a guy who has contributed so much is getting fixed up, good stuff topcat.Comment

Here is my 2 month update. The only issues that I have had were some ingrown hairs under the chin that finally seem to be going away. What I have found is that a mixture of powdered aspirin and witch hazel works very well but benzoyl peroxide works even better and I can tell the difference in only a few days. This is something I do on my own. It was not suggested by the clinic nor do I ask the clinic. I prefer to just take care of myself and my own aftercare and take full responsibility for whatever I do. Should you do the same as I do, that is up to you.
Outside of eating my usually 12 or more eggs a day and massive amounts of Vitamin C through food extracts I have been eating more turkey wing soup. When it chills it is complete gelatin. All three items listed have a huge affect on collagen and skin healing.
I have had approximately 750 beard hair grafts extracted from this small area.

Why turkey wing soup as opposed to any other part of the turkey?www.HassonandWong.com

Jotronic you could probably use the legs too but I think the wings work better. The smaller bones, tendons and skin in the wings are very high in collagen and break down easier. Even better are chicken feet which might be hard for most to find. We do have some Amish farmers in the area that come into the city and they do offer chicken feet so for me it’s not a problem. If you are interested in finding someone in your area check out eatwild dot com
Of course gelatin is extremely beneficial for the skin, hair and nails but not only that when cooking with the bones you flood the body with glycosaminoglycans which adhere to collagen anywhere in the body helping to keep tendons and ligaments supple and strong. You simply do not hear about it because the real money is being made in joint replacements or surgery. Even glucosamine which is made from glycosaminoglycans cannot even come close to the real thing but once again this issue of how does one make money from the information comes into play and the public ends up short changed. People eventually end up on some type of medication which eventually destroys the rest of their life and it could have all been easily avoided.
If you make beef soup always try to include a knee joint.Comment
