I'd like to ask you guy's that have been on Finasteride for a while about the benefit's you've experienced? I've read about the negatives, i'd like to hear about some of the positive's?

Starting Propecia was one of the best decisions of my life. I have been able to keep my hair for many years and have only been very slowly getting a little worse, but I’m still very happy.

By far the best thing i ever did with regards to stopping further loss. I wish i had only got on it sooner.
I have been on the drug 10+ years - no side effects - fathered twins at first attempt. (i think its a fertility drug
)
Meds are the secret to most great success stories. Proscar is most certainly the secret to my personal success as it has enabled me to stop the loss, bulk up the mid/crown and hit the front via HT.

It certainly beefed up your crown. I have loads of mini 'white' hairs on my hairline, is it likely to boost them?Comment

You didn't need to add arrows, Spex.
I've been using Fin for 5 years and my hair has basically remained the same. I can't know for sure if it's responsible as I got no re-growth (I have only frontal loss) which would've been visible proof, but I strongly suspect that I've benefited from using it.

Spex, does Fin actually thicken up existing hairs? Or do they need to fall out in the growth cycle and come back possibly thicker? my natural hair has always been thick like straw, just wondered if that thickness per shaft gets improved with med after it's lost size?By far the best thing i ever did with regards to stopping further loss.
