I can't wait for this feeling. I'm saving my pennies for a procedure with Gho, I'm really anxious.

Hey c500. My procedure w gho took two or three days longer than some others to really heal up. Regardless, im at 3.5 months and love the result and the donor has healed seamlessly. I remember the initial days being worried, thats why I write this. Id keep taking pictures, relax, and enjoy your purchase. Its the best money I ever spent. People always ask "did you get a haircut or something? "-- I just say, "yeah, yeah, thats it.".

No. I was just somewhat confused due to your initial camera's date/time settings.

Anyway, everthing looks normal so far.

Now try to follow every day until at least day 7 and always photos of the same area:
Left ear side area, right ear side area and occiput (the area below the small scar - but still INCLUDING the small scar!

By the way, try to take the pics even CLOSER to your head, especially if you take photos of your occiput - the area below the small scar. Try it!

    Great.

I'll take them a little closer tomorrow (Day 3).

Yes these latest photos were taken almost exactly 48 hours after the grafts were extracted. Does my donor seem to be healing slower than normal?

I've taken on board your advice and hopefully these pictures are better.

Also IronMan, you're correct, today is in fact day 2, not yesterday. haha

Day 2 - Wednesday - Back of Head (Just Under Scar)

Day 2 - Wednesday - Left Side of Head

Day 2 - Wednesday - Right Side of Head

Again guys, apologies if these photos aren't quite good enough, but I'm trying my best and will keep trying until I perfect it. haha

P.S. Let me know how my donor looks at Day 2.

    That is true …

I made this overview-pic some month ago, so that HST patients/viewers can see IN ADVANCE what they can expect to see days thereafter in the donor area, after having a HST procedure.

    NOTE
Day 0 (in general) = treatment day!
Day 1 = minimum 24 hours after the extraction procedure.
Day 2 = minimum 48 hours after the extraction procedure and so on.

@c5000, it seems that you set your camera’s date/time wrong – your camera works always 1 day in advance in the future, so to speak. Try to fix this.

Anyway, day 0 as well as day 1 is somewhat “tricky” anyhow, because in the donor area, on day 0 and day 1 there is mostly a too big mix of blood drops, Fucidine-cream and other artefacts, what sometimes can make finding the real extraction sites (and not just ANY blood drops!) somewhat difficult and so on.

Day 2 and/or day 3 are the ideal/perfect days to start with encircling (or making marks) of extraction sites, because after 2 days and after carefully rinsing the donor area, the donor area appears much more “clean” than on day 0 or day1.

    BEWARE
After day 3 or day 4, it’s already getting DIFFICULT to find the exact same extraction sites / holes you marked on day 1 or 2 – but without marking/encircling extraction sites not later than on day 2 or 3 (and within a clear defined and outlined observation –you can choose 2-3 such small areas- area of your choice!) – it could/would be even more difficult. So again, good photos of DAY 2 and/or DAY 3 are extremely important if you wish to observe and finally to document your donor regrowth.

Anyways, gc is right – “It's not too late…”

    Good luck in general!

p.s - that was actually a short "protocol" for "How to document with photos donor regrowth on a day-by-day basis?" -patented by IronMan. lol

hi mate, I've tried using the photos you've provided by drawing circles in photo 1, but they are just too far away from your actual head for any comparisons. When you actually download the photo and zoom in to the maximum its blurry as hell, so basically no clarity.

It's not too late to fix this, so if you can try again tomorrow of a closer photo particularly near the ear area, you don't have to include the ear in the photo!

You should probably go X2 as close as you were doing before.

    c5000,
your photos are not that bad, but I think you don't use the ideal settings.
I mean, there is a lot to see, but on the other hand, I think TOO MUCH to see.

In the 1st thread you have started, there were some cool guys who tried to give you useful hints/advices, but I think you completely ignore them.

Anyway, I have just "studied" for you the manual of your camera:

Your camera is not that different than my camera - very similar, including the settings.

Try to find the following settings and set:

    Photo Size:
    4320 X 2432: Print on A2 paper in panorama ratio (16:9)
or play back on an HDTV.

    Macro (the little flower symbol):
Focus on a subject that is 2-31 in. (5-80 cm) from the camera. [use just ~10-15 cm (~4 inch) distance from your tele/lens to your head!]
71-138 in. (180-350 cm) when you use the zoom. [Do not use the zoom lever/feature during macro mode and disable digital zoom - just optical zoom!]

ISO (80=daylight-usage to 200 max - anywhere in between!)

If you set this (my camera is basically NOT better than your camera!) you will get the following, because I tried the same today during DAYLIGHT:

I used an old small sponge (size: 8.5 x 5.5 cm) - the sponge looks like dr. umar hairs ...lol

    1) distance from the tele/lens to the sponge just 10 cm ...

    2) distance from the tele/lens to the sponge just 3 cm (super-macro mode) ...

    Congrats man!!
You will be surprised how fast the healing is, just few more days and it's like you didn't have any work done. Just stick with the post op instructions.
As for meds, i just use rogaine foam (once aday) and 2% nizoral shampoo (once aweek) with no sides so far.

    Hi all.

Here are my Day 2 Donor pics:

Day 2 - Donor - Back of Head (Section Under Scar)

Day 2 -Donor - Left Hand Side Closer Up

Day 2 - Donor - Left Hand Side

Day 2 - Donor - Right Hand Side Closer Up

Day 2 - Donor - Right Hand Side

Let me know what you think and I'll improvethe pics if need be. Is it my imagination or are there white dots on the left of my donor? Maybe it's just patches of clean untouched donor?
