I've just had my procedure with Dr. Gho and want to share the results

Hi Gaz, I hope I'm not testing your patience here.

But when I try without flash when I zoom in it's just really blurry.

I've taken the same pic (with flash) but a little closer up, hope this helps.

didi/Gaz, I'll start trying to take these pics in daylight from now on, but it's hard what with work etc during the day. Might actually just get someone from work to take the snaps. haha

Hopefully we can see some regeneration in the next few days.

I'll try and document any regeneration at the back of my head just under the scar and Gaz I appreciate any effort you can make to document the donor in the left hand side, I'll keep doing my best with photos.

I thiink natural daylight is the best but not direct sunlight.
If you can take photos of your donor outdoors in the shade or if you are in Uk it should be cloudy day anyway, no flash

Yeah 100% turn the flash off. Your still going to need some light otherwise it'll just look like one big shadow, so just tilt your head slightly so there is some light coming from the 'big light' so to speak! This should make a huge difference to the quality of the photos if you can get it right.

I know iron man said you've lost those grafts, but I reckon after 2 days the stem cells are well and truly in your scalp. That's my take on it.

After my last procedure I decided to train it home. Whilst in Ghos office I carefully put on my baseball hat. I thought I had taken all the correct precautions by not pressing the hat down etc, just leaving enough space for it to breath. However when I got home, I took off my hat in slow motion and immediately I had blood streaming down my face, my fiancee had a heart attack at the site lol. Basically what had happened was a scab had formed and kinda stuck to my cap and hardened. By time I had got home and lifted the hat, I had in effect pulled a chunk of grafts out, only about 6, but I knew for sure they were goners!

This is the difference between me losing grafts and you. Your fine!

That makes me feel a lot better. I know there was definitely no blood as they were really dry.

I'll try and get better pictures ONCE AND FOR ALL tonight.

I have a few questions relating to shampooing the scabs and shaving down the donor...

Were you reasonably firm with shampooing the grafts? As I think I'm being too gentle and Deborah at Hasci said mot to be too gentle.

Also which day did you shave down your donor. Tomorrow is day 5 for me and I was thinking of shaving it down on the morning of day 7... Should I wait a bit longer?

Still not much to report.

This picture that I've uploaded here is the area I'm looking at (left ear side). As you can see I've zoomed in about 50% and the clarity is not great.

You can also see the blue circle, this is the 1st thing I look for as my marker!

If you were able to just photograph this area, even closer than you have been, then we may be able to actually see some hairs growing through these extraction points. If you get chance, then try to do it tonight plz.

Also why is there so much light? Are you using a flash or is it just the lights in your room? Maybe you can try to avoid that. Hope I'm not asking too much of you lol.

The good thing is we have the first batch of photos to identify the extraction points, but if you want to spot the regrowth early then you'll have to do the above.

Apart from that I think everything is going perfectly!

p.s I think IronMan is a little busy atm in the chair with Gho, unless he keeps finding time to message on his iphone whilst having his HST.

Actually, you mean "on your forehead"?

If those hairs you found indeed had skin-tissue attached,
I guess you lost some grafts from the hairline - and now,
these hairs/grafts can't "grow back" anymore.
But DO NOT FREAK OUT - follow strictly the hints in your instruction paper.

I know, I feel really stupid for sleeping on my front. But I emailed Hair Science this morning and they said:

"Good to hear from you! That is completely normal. You will lose more hairs and yes, every one of them will grow back. The stemcells are in place, don’t worry. You did great. And yes you can start washing it, don’t be to gentile otherwise the crust will not come of. Just as you would normally do it.

If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I always look at my e-mail during the weekend so if its urgent I try to contact you as quick as possible."

So hopefully they may grow back, but if not it was only 10 or so grafts and I'll learn a lesson.

I reckon over the next 2 days we should be able to see regrowth. I feel like I can see some regrowth but I need further photos over the next couple of days to allow the hairs to break through those extraction sites.

I wouldn't worry too much about what Gho has said or about the drill used.

If it's not too much trouble try and keep it shortish especially on the left photo where it is bloody, this is the area I'm focusing on.

What I did notice is the day 3 photo extraction sites seems to be more bloody(darker looking) than the day 2, but I put that down to different lighting possibly? It would be nice to think they are looking darker and slightly more raised because there is a hair about to break through.

So how do you guys think my donor is looking?


Also I asked Dr. Gho if he could do my crown next year and he said we'd have to wait and see if there was any scarring... The first techniian mentioned that they'd had to change the depth of the drill as I think they were drilling too deep, is this likely to cause scarring?

I'm not sure, I believe I waited a little too long to shower or something. Or may be a bad healer in general. I just feel I was red back there a little longer than others. Regardless, I don't believe regrowth was affected. I witnessed and felt quite a bit of regrowth.

I can't wait for this feeling. I'm saving my pennies for a procedure with Gho, I'm really anxious.

I want to temper some expectations. I was right on the line of being one of those persons whom 1,500 grafts wouldn't help much, because of the amount of hairloss (nw2-nw3ish). Fortunately, I got just enough coverage to make a difference. Others may not get the feeling until after 2-3 procedures.


I dont shave my head. My hair is a couple inches now? I use toppik on the back, which works better than I'd ever imagine, and the gho hairline is growing in well. It's pretty much allowed me to get back to living.


but all in all guys, I'm happy with my Gho procedure. I do feel that I couldn't have spent the money any better (unless i wasnt bald lol).

I unfortunately lost my old phone that had my before pictures on it, but still may post some of the after results with HST areas circled (it was mostly around my hairline area, and some behind the hairline area).


I'll be going for another procedure in the next year or so. I have money saved, but need a little more cushion before emptying the bank again.


for those whom have good income and credit, you can get cosmetic loans for SUPER LOW interest rates, and would be something I'd look at FOR SURE. I unfortunately am in between income streams at this present moment. My second procedure is going to really make my hairline super sick... people are going to be like WTF?!?!?!
