Without making any jokes or sarcasm - EVERY available doctor and ALL -really lovely- girls in the clinic. In simple words, practically the whole (big) team in the Amsterdam clinic - no shit.
In the Amsterdam-cinic, they have almost every day 2 patients at the same time - from Monday to Friday. The other guy (I didn't see him) was a guy from Holland, and after having the extraction process, they told me "YOU're the clinic's winner of the day!" Why?
According to them, the other guy was "a completely virgin guy" - but they couldn't get (and not that easily) more than 1400 HST grafts.
I got the same amount, but surprisingly, by far more easily than the other guy - and I'm NOT really a virgin guy in my donor area, because due to my old strip scars disaster in my donor area (you will see photos), I don't have 100% donor area SIZE anymore!
Without these scars - around 2500 grafts would be no problem at all, at least in my case. Anyway, so I ended up with at least 1400 grafts. This is the "bad news". The good news is, and they confirmed this, if I wish, within around 4-5 years, I can get a full head of hair back again - simply stepwise. And with every step, a step closer to this goal.
Am I satisfied with the 1st step?
The whole procedure took just 8 hours (every working step extremely well planned) and after completing the procedure/day, they asked me "Do you have a final question?" I said "Yes, sure ..." and my final question was:
"Are YOU satisfied with my procedure?"
She told me immediately "Ohhh, I'm VERY satisfied ...!"Comment

Is it everything you expected? How do you feel right now? And is this the first time you've shaved your head? What did you think of Gho?
After your finished with your recipient are you going to get your donor scars filled in?Comment

IM you went from STRIP straight into HST, skipped FUE..u missed state of the art white dots
Do you have to wait 9 months between procedures, as in is it strictly enforced rule?
if allowed do it every 6-7 months it would be awsome
if you could have one in June next year, then Dec..few years would be enoughComment

It can take up to 12 month (sometimes even more) until you can see 1) the real final result and 2) until you can't SEE each and every regenerated follicle/hair in the recipient site, and if you want more density in the same area, it's simply somewhat too risky to transplant additional grafts in the same area too early.Comment

Interesting you bring that up:
It's now exactly 12 hours after I left the clinic and I feel absolutly nothing - I mean, I'm somewhat surprised, because I can't feel neither any pain nor any swelling or something else on my head. The whole head (especially the donor area) just feels somewhat "cold" - but I think this is due to the weather here in Amsterdam. When I left the clinic, there was a very cold and stormy wind (of course I didn't wear a cap or hat or something) and in addition, it's also rather "cool" in the hotel room. So actually, I'm not surprised that there is absolutely no swelling so far.
But why can't I feel any pain or something?
Maybe I'm already dead ... who knows ...
In fact, Dr. Gho didn't tattoo "L O S E R" onto my donor area with normal FUE. But indeed, instead of, and this is no joke, I suggested to implant via stick & place technique EXPERIMENTAL at least 10 HST grafts into the fattest scar - just to see how it works in my scars. We WILL see ...Comment

i didn't feel any pain either and didn't get no swelling. i was pretty surprised with the healing process. however around day 3 or 4 your donor will start itching because of regeneration, and the feeling is uncomfortable specially when you put your head on the pillow since you are supposed to sleep on your back.
For example, the guy Tobban from Sweden (google translation Swedish/English):
"First, no visible impact in the neck plus it is true that most of the hair grows back. You can almost feel how it grows out afterwards – shit, weird feeling…"
"After a couple of days itching can appear in the donor area. This is caused by the healing of the skin and the regrowth of the hair. To soften the itching you can use the coolpack on the donor area. Also the homeopathic product ‘Calendulan emulsion’ can soften the itching ..."Comment

which Doctors?

You said in one post that all the Dr.'s worked on you, but that Dr. Gho inplanted some grafts into your scar. I called a couple of days ago to schedule a consultation and the receptionist said that Dr. Gho and Dr. Kristel Van Herwignen work out of the Maastricht office and Dr. Freek Broekhuijse and Dr. Novia Mozart work out of the Amsterdam clinic. The website seems to also confirm this.
Was Dr. Gho at your procedure? Or if not who was the lead Dr? I'm just curious because I would like to book Dr. Gho, but Maastricht is much more of a pain in the butt to get to than Amsterdam is from New York.

Congrats on getting the procedure done Iron_Man.The initial impressions sound good and I hope the rest of your recovery goes equally as well. Can't wait to see the pictures.
Do you remember what the ratio of drilling to successful extractions was for you? A few patients who have had HST recently have mentioned ratios of 2:1. Did you notice this?Comment

Yes, what you say is correct. They told me the same. Dr. Gho is just once a month in the Amsterdam-clinic and just for doing business. So no, he wasn't there on the day of my treatment - just Dr. Freek Broekhuijse (the guy could ALMOST -but just almost- beat me with being "funny and sarcastic"!) and Dr. Novia Mozart - she lives since 10 years in Holland, has 2 little boys (5 and 2 and another one is in the work) and she is married with a Dutch guy, who brought her 10 years ago from Indonesia (where she got her medical doctor degree) to Holland, and since 4 years, she lives in Amsterdam with her family. She works for the HSCI since 1 year - including the "hefty" (according to her) HST training program, she mentioned. She just drew the new hairline (she already KNEW exactly what I want) und made the holes in the recipient/front area - oh, and finally the 10 test-grafts for the scar. Dr. Broekhuijse served throughout the day (as well as the day before) just as 1) advisor 2) colleague, and finally 3) clinial manager, because HE is the boss in the Amsterdam clinic. But he doesn't really act like "the boss" - all people in the clinic work together as a team, that's at least what I noticed. Furthermore, I noticed that every man or women in this clinic - they are all "hand-picked" - if you understand what I mean. The latter doesn't mean that each and every person in the clinic has an IQ above 180 - even the NASA dosn't like such people when they are looking for astronauts ...ah, forget the latter.Comment

In some areas 48 successful extractions out of 50 drills, sometimes -especially around the scars- 8 successful extractions out of 10 drills. The girl mentiond after the whole extraction part, that I'm "a very expensive patient", because she was forced to use and to waste all in all 6 brand new 0.6 mm needles - just to get 1400 grafts!
Anyway, the 1st photo (after shaving the whole head) took Dr. Mozart with my camera:
Day-0
And the photo below, is my 1st "successful" macro-photo from the same area:
Day-1
She tried her best with photo "Day-0" and for an "by-fly photo", not even that bad. I think at least better than no before photo.Comment
