Traditional FUE just cherrypicks grafts cause they won't regrow. So they can't use grafts too close to each other, cause that would leave weird naked spots on the scalp. But if they do regrow, then there's no need to cherrypick and you can just use all grafts. Unless of course those things you said are true. They might be, I just haven't heard of that so was hoping you could point me to a study.Comment

I've never heard about that. Do you maybe have a study that confirms that ? It sounds quite weird to me.

It would be so much easier to take a 1cm/2 area and use ALL of the grafts. If it comes back in full and the recipient area regrows in same/similar numbers..... GOODBYE BALDNESS.
That would be REALLY interesting to see. However, I think surrounding follicles are needed for regeneration.Comment

Dr. Nigam should also perform this procedure on a women with diffuse hair loss. Quickest way to get this procedure available to the public is to have it work for woman. Society gives 2 shits about a balding man....but if you can give a balding woman back her hair.....the government would allow you to kill the last puppy on earth. Sometimes we have to let them have our way! If you know what I mean!Comment

Like I said, I believe surrounding follicles are needed for regeneration. Think mitosis. How can cells split and regenerate forming new follicles if there aren't any anywhere nearby to take cells from? Which is why I think the dermaroller trial COULD have a similar effect.Comment

I'm just saying, he could still have a "cure" in the fashion he says he does, and not be able to regenerate every single hair in a 1cm square.
I dont' have any studies, but I've never looked for them. I thought this was something Gho spoke about. i don't want to call it common-sense, but you have to admit it seems more likely than not that taking all the grafts from that area could be very traumatic. Also, doing 5k grafts in one run is a lot. Thats 2000 or so extractions in the back and another 500o holes in the front, for a total of 7000 holes in your head. I thought my HST with 2800 was kinda rugged.Comment
