Hey. i'm sorry if it seems like i'm going off the subject, but i asked about Histogen in my " introduce yourself post " but it hasn't had many hits so i'll ask a few questions here if you don't mind, firstly i'm at the very early stages of hair loss where only i can really notice it at the moment, i'm in two minds if i should try to wait it out for this treatment and still be able to get good results from it, i went to my doctor to ask about propecia, but he didn't want to give it to me because long term effects are not known, and also told me that DHT is very important for a healthy male.

I don't know if i should get on propecia and help keep my hair full and wait for this to come out because i do not want to be on propecia long term, if Histogen wasn't on the horizon i wouldn't even consider propecia at all, what do you think i should do please, as just don't know which direction to take.

Man I would start off with nizoral and minox (rogaine). And hopefully that can hold you over until a breakthrough. Idk if you're aware but propecia has some pretty terrible side effects (impotence, low sex drive, man tits) and isn't guaranteed to grow hair on everyone who takes it.

Hey, yes i have decided now i don't want to go on propecia, i just think it's too much of a risk for me, so now i guess my question is, by the time Histogen is available my hair isn't going to look so great because it seems it's like three or five years away yet, so how much hair can Histogen restore if any, or is it more for people at the stage i'm at now in the early stages of hair loss ?

Or do people just not know it's efficiacy as of yet, i mean it's hard to guage it reading on here as there are so many conflicting opinions, plus i don't have bags of money, but would say 10k be enough or will it just be for people who can afford silly money ?

Nobody really knows the answers to those questions yet. They're still only in phase II which is the next step after proving it is safe and shows signs of working according to the expectations of your concept. As far as price goes I think it will depend on how many injections you need. I could imagine the price range being set according to which stage of the Norwood scale you're at. I.e NW3 is half or 2/3 of the price of NW7. Hard to predict though. I have no idea how much HSC costs to produce and if there is any need for special training to apply it correctly.

Where'd you find that they're in Phase II? Last I saw, they hadn't even started on Phase III trials.

They were scheduled to begin Phase I/II clinical trials in July this year. Assuming there's been no setbacks that still stands. The interim trial data should be published by the first quarter of next year.

Does histogen use "Embryonic stem cells" for research?

No they don't use embryonic stem cells. Quote from their website:

"Histogen's mission is to redefine regenerative medicine by developing a series of high value products without the use of embryonic stem cells or animal products."

                    (Emphasis mine.)

                      Hsc ad

                      Hi!

I found some pretty interesting stuff on a german board.

This is a magazine published in Japan. Nothing special. But on page 2 there is an ad for the "Akai Medical Clinic" in which they actually offer a HISTOGEN TREATMENT! Check it out! Are they doing trials over there or havet hey already entered the market??

You can bet Histogen hasn't approved this and the ad is an almost word-for-word plagiarism of their press release so I'm guessing it's a fake.

Histogen's lawyers might have a few things to say about it...

                          Histoen Status?

Does anyone know the exact status of histogen's trials? I know they were getting set to start up a new trial phase. Have they started it? If not, when is the date for start up? Also, is the upcoming trial an official phase II or something else?

Thanks for the information. Do you know if they've made their first injections yet?
