Handbags at dawn.., insults over the Internet? Really...
On topic(al) pun intended. 2020: you have stated that this EQUOL and OC are both cures. Both seems great on paper, but human body's are complicated. Have either of these products been tested for hairloss or are they just theory's?Comment

Some person on HLH is trying ramatroban which is another PGD2 blocker and he claims that within 2 weeks, his acne and shedding disappeared completely so obviously something is happening.
about equol:
it hasn't been tested on MPB people although we know from prostate studies that it is very effective at "blocking" DHT so I'm sure your hair will respond positively to less DHT also.
That one company did a small study where they showed ~2% growth after 6 months with 5mg dose... it did maintain for most people I guess but the problem is that 5mg won't block that much DHT
If they were to use 50mg or 100mg, I'm sure the results would be much much better.Comment

they're working on other sources but it seems that every other lab charges a lot of money for itComment

ah ok, good to hear they are still trying and have not completely dismissed the product. the science behind it is very strong, tho if it applies in practice thats another thing.
2020: about this ramatroban, i have had a google search and only come up with forums with mindless rantings and no real info on this product. Any links you can share?Comment

Hi yeahyeahyeah,
Thanks for your message. Here are the answers to your questions:
1. The benefit of binding to DHT rather than preventing its production is
that the natural hormone balance of the body is maintained. If DHT is not
produced then the extra 'unconverted' testosterone can trigger side effects
in some people. S-equol is different in that it is produced naturally by
some people, whereas finasteride is synthetic.
2. It is cheaper to use daidzein, but not all people are converters. Some
people can produce S-equol from daidzein and could benefit from the soy
isoflavone tablets. Others would need to take S-equol directly.
3. Folexen does not cause shedding.
4. I'd recommend taking it for 6 months or so and making observations to
determine if it works for you (before & after photos). The timeframe varies
between individuals though. If you have normally have a high rate of
shedding then perhaps 2 or 3 months would be enough time to make a
determination.
5. Folexen just became available to the public a week ago, so not many
people would know about it yet.
Please let me know if you have any other questions, and I'd be glad to help!
Regards,

"Estrogen Inhibition
DHT inhibits estrogen in three ways. It directly hinders estrogen's ability to act on tissues. It inhibits the aromatase enzyme that produces estrogen from other androgen components. And DHT decreases the secretion of gonadotropin, from which the raw materials for estrogen production are derived."
Any input about this?Comment

Im diffuse. I really think I can get alot of it back. But I need to act now...
Wish someone would gather all these compounds and start a database of how well it works (based on diaries on forums). Its really hard work going through multiple forums looking for info, and deciding which info we can trust.
ramatroban, RU, CB, OC, fin, minox, supplements....what should I be doing?
Any treatment that acts against DHT receptors locally in the scalp, and same with PGD2....might just be the 'hair saver' we need until histogen bless us with HSC.
One thing I find annoying...why are there no pro-active REAL chemists on the boards? With his/her help we could really take things into our own hands...Comment

Great stuff!! I'm gonna wait for these guys to test this stuff as I'm not one to throw money about. But hopefully this stuff will help and we get some good news, cheers again 2020.
While your here, you still positive about OC? Are you planning to give it a blast?Comment
