I know that this procedure looks great on paper...but the results are not state of the art at all which is why i am not going to consider a hair transplant with gho. If feriduni offers it then its another story. He is not just a surgeon but also an artist.

That would be ideal. If only Gho would setup a Hair Science Institute in Belgium and offer Feriduni a boat load of money. There's no denying Sneijder's hair looks good though.

In the HT section of the hairsite forum Dr Umar has commented on HST... basically he says that all Gho is doing is splitting hairs. Umar says its common practice for strip surgeons to split 3 or 4 follicle units into single follicles. He thinks that Gho is basically doing this but with a FUE like tool. He thinks gho is extracting a single hair from a 3 follicle unit...

now this is the best argument against Gho I've heard thus far

However a user responded that when you watch the videos of HST or look at the HST pictures you don't see any of the graft left behind...

I'm not a scientist and I think that Gho is the only person who can answer Umar's criticism but what do you guys think?

Well in those videos and close ups......they extracted it all and didnt split but what gives, at least Gho is pushing the envelope what i couldnt say from others

I am not a big umar fan, but I think his theory makes sense. Anyways, what they should all be doing is trying to replicate it. 50k is a good amount of money but I think in the end if they were to pay gho, at least the good surgeons who already have a good rep will benefit from that investment.

Some smart ass critics had the used the example of 2 pockets and 3 marbles saying that if you have 3 marbles in one pocket and move 2 to the second empty pocket you know have marbles in both pockets.

While that could happen it's clearly not 'hair multiplication' as laid out in Gho's paper. That's not what is happening. Hair multiplication and donor regeneration is possible just with what accuracy and consistency? Like Richard Dawkins said, just wait. It took some time for FUE to take off. If HST is legit (I happen to strongly believe it is) it too will take off.

And you're absolutely right to do so. As it stands now I haven't seen enough to make the jump (nor can I financially) but when I do I'll consider it somewhere down the line. The way I see it is that HST and HSC can be complementary. It could be like a HT 2.0 and Rogaine 2.0 treatment plan.

1. people don't have full heads of hair because nobody has gotten enough grafts to have a full head of hair... if you look back in this thread you'll see a user posted photos of his 1,300 graft FUE procedure and the results were NO DIFFERENT WHAT SO EVER from many of the results on HSI website which presumably had about the same amount of grafts done... So i can't agree with you that the reason "it" (lots of results not sure who you mean specifically) does not look like a full head of hair is because gho is "splitting" and only implanting one follicle

If you watch the interview spencer kobren does with Gho you'll hear Gho's reasoning...having little holes close together causes swelling and other factors that lead to graft rejection, the more holes and the closer together the more these negative factors increase.... small session = better yields/better healing as well as holes not being punched too closely= better yields/better healing..... and this all seems pretty logical I dont disagree with Gho... I'm sure if Gho thought it was no big deal to do 70 grafts per cm he would do it... because thats obviously what people would prefer... but he doesnt do that which speaks volumes

3. they have said that you DEFINITELY CAN increase your density BUT only on subsequent procedures.... so the give you 50 hairs per cm on your first procedure... once those HOLES (yes people holes punched in your head, think about this) heal than you can go back and punch holes in between and add more density with procedure #2.....

as much as this increases Gho's revenue (although you could argue allowing 6,000 graft megasessions would increase his revenue just as much) I can see it being a valid argument... its good to see he's worried about the quality of the work being put out and not about getting somebodys money as fast as possible and offering some crazy megasession with high rates of grafts not making it and making healing harder

I also urge anybody interested in HST to email a surgeon of their choice and ask if they offer HST (even if you know they don't) and than explain that you are really interested in a procedure with him but you would not do any other technique except HST.... if we demand it they will get the message
