I think you're exaggerating a bit here. I mean, look at the results Histogen has shown, and the promises they've been making, not just about efficacy but about release dates. I don't think someone having the slightest inkling based on that makes them an idiot. That justifies a slight inkling in my book.
Assuming they're not liars, it's the the best prospect I can ever remember seeing. It's possible that for some reason they're just telling massive lies and putting fake hair on heads for photographs, but I'm not aware of any reason to distrust them (aside from the name Ziering being associated with it).
Hope should be kept in check as always, and people definitely should know to go for fin or dut as their default treatment... but I don't know how what Histogen have shown recently can just be disregarded. If they actually can achieve those results already then expecting it to take decades to get it ready for public sale seems so needlessly pessimistic.
New Treatment!!!

Hello.
In next 5-10-15 years there will be no cure mates. We gotta maintain what we have already. Hopefully smo /6bio will do something until scientists decide put more effort into research..Leave a comment:

I apologize in advance if this thread takes a dramatic turn on pages 2 - 4, but from what I read, I think this should be moved. There is a board here for sharing your story or experience, isn't there? It's hard enough to keep up with cutting edge treatments. Threads that don't talk about cutting edge treatments don't help.Leave a comment:

Lol at the people mad at the prospect the cure will be after their youth. You never know science, the cure might be tomorrow? Tell that to people who've spent their entire lives paralyzed, crippled, with aids, dying of cancer...
The cure is nowhere near the discovery. And when it does, the clinical trials, funding, multiple phases, commercialization, possible lawsuits/patent conflicts/delays...
25 years is my extremely optimistic outlook. It is not a random figure but a timeline I truly believe in. And you know what? I can gladly wait that long.
Maybe histogen replicel will prove me wrong. But you guys are idiots for even the slightest inkling I wouldn't be. It is YOUR posts saying the cure will come any minute THAT POLLUTES AND IS TOXIC to the YOUNG who are receding who decide not to fin.
Because you guys are old, past your youth, and bitter.Leave a comment:

How is this thread not deleted or moved?!?
It's nothing to do with s cutting edge solution.
It's a whinge.Leave a comment:

Spot on. I mean sure, you can add on certain timeframes for the red tape of regulation from government bodies and maybe try to extrapolate on funding patterns if you're into stocks but that's pretty much the extent of it. Just wildly choosing 25 years as a number for something like tissue engineering and thinking its realistic is incredibly naive. Could be 3 years, or 20 or 80 but it's all speculative. No offense to you shookones, but statements like these contradict science entirely. YOU DON'T KNOW! NONE OF YOU KNOW! It literally could be tomorrow or it could never be. You look at all historical scientific discoveries and realize that science, of any sort, is wildly unpredictable. The best thing you can do is WORK to DEAL with the SITUATION you have now.Leave a comment:

Thank you.Don't listen to me or any of the people on these boards, they're full of people who are simply guessing and as it now turns out, making sometimes plausible guesses but often getting it wrong.
Instead, have a listen to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZvCsanjllA
Unless she's telling one outrageous pack of lies, Histogen means business. They've shown it produces very real results before they've even found the optimum dose/treatment schedule. She plainly states that it will be available in some countries in a very reasonable timeframe (2 years) at an affordable cost, with only one or a small number of treatments required, working on men and women.Leave a comment:

Nice summary! Crazy a lot of great treatment to look forward to. I hope there may be something available that is also affordable to me. It makes me optimistic about the future.Baffling to me that a thread like this could still be made after the year 2015 has been.
- Bimatoprost: confirmed to work better than minoxidil
- SM04554: early trial stages but apparently works
- Histogen: unmistakeably WORKS
- Replicel/Shiseido: human trials, claimed to work, has provisional medium-term release date
- Setipiprant: human trials
- CB0301: human trials I think?
- Pilofocus: human trials
- Improvements in theoretical understanding and experimental techniques reported regularly
- Probably more that I can't remember right now
The situation looks vastly better to me now than it did a year or 18 months ago. If this hasn't been a good year I'm not sure what a good year is supposed to sound like.Leave a comment:
