well, this patent was filed in 2007. I really can't understand how coniferous tree extract and keratin could counteract MPB...

Sure that treatment from 2007 will make a difference now. Certainly there must be some truth about it but why should that be superior to what we have now? Like baldybald told: It is 2015.
