i am wondering if thats healthy for the scalp pores will they become blocked by a film as when it dries it may need you to scrub your scalp when you wash it and therefore destroy any new scalp hair regrowth,also look at topical flutamide it will become systemic when applied and that shows that any drugs will penetrate the scalp skin.
I wonder if topical spironolactone with finasteride added would be a good mix with minoxidil and retina a added for intas to make as in dr klines promox.

So first of all, topical fin is nothing new. Thats been around for years, I even remember reading a study from a company that produces a similar product once, saying themselves it DOSENT DO ANYTHING for your hair status !

disussed here is, that it uses Chitosan as a vehicle to transport fin to the hair roots. Its not just crushing some tablets and smearing them on your head as some of the smart people here already indicated. The products you posted here wont do the job...

And as I wrote, this is a patent ! No western company can produce this without the allowense of the owner of the patent rights. Maybe some Indian company who dosen`t give a shit to violate those right ...

By the way, in the patent you can read up exectly how that stuff is made, not that compliated ...

3) Propylene Glycol 5.00%
4) Hydroxypropyl Chitosan 1.00%

Preparation

One of the most abhorrent things on the planet are drug companies that have had tax payer funding to make cures for things like cancer - and then price them so that only the rich can afford to get well.

Don't get me started on software patents. If you have a patent and don't use a patent you should loose it full stop. Further more it should only last a couple of years to encourage innovation and competition.

In this industry though they can simply get naffed. Patent trolls already delayed Histogen (our closest hope) by a year or more.

The reason I fight this fight is because patents have slowed things down for us. I only want to be spreading and sharing a positive message here.

Not because I'm being overly optimistic or nieive but because I truly think Histogen is a coming. There is light for us and there are patent trolls out there already screwing with them and thus indirectly me and you!

You're right, Kiwi. I've seen too many companies make discoveries related to hair loss, patent them, and then sit on those patents for even as long as a decade. I remember a company called Regenerxx (I think the spelling is right) that discovered in 2003 that a chemical called thymosin B4 could regrow hair in humans. They patented the use of this chemical for hair growth and haven't done a damn thing since then to develop any product or treatment using thymosin for hair regrowth. Hell, I even believe that they sued a Korean company who tried to develop a hair regrowth product using thymosin B4.

Is there any news on this? After the Histogen letdown this is absolutely number 1 on my list of treatments that might actually exist in the near future. All of us who are looking to maintain and cannot take oral fin due to sides need to research this and see what the deal is with the chitosan film, what the timeline is on an official release, whether we can get it made at a lab, make it ourselves, economics, etc. This and RU are pretty much all we have atm and I'd rather go with the more proven treatment.
