CB blocks DHT, so it won't work for women.

I heard about Dr. Lauster and was really interested. Is he still working on a cure?
He should be, I'm willing to bet he still is but keeping things very low-key. I can't see him finding a major breakthrough and calling it a day without having his findings implemented into the real world.

Yea, I agree. How far is Lauster with his research, I mean he would have to go through all phases and has he even started anything that anyone knows of?

Btw, I really appreciate your replies.

I remember finding a very old article about Lauster doing work on stem cells some 10 years ago, but he only announced creating artificial skin, follicles with grown hair back in December of 2010. The last that anyone has officially heard from his was around that time when he said clinical (or pre-clinical?) trial preparations were already underway for hair loss. Thats all anyone know though... except maybe Dr. Nigam as he was caught in a photograph with him not long ago.

I've heard about Team Tokyo but don't care about their work, Lauster's already cracked it. I've tried contacting him but haven't got a response. We really need an update from him but I'm afraid news is going to be disappointing considering there hasnt been anything mentioned about him in over 2 years. And if the news would be good... well, hats off to him keeping it secret better than Apple did with their jesus phone.

If that indeed turns out to be true, let us all vote this great man for the Nobel Prize!

Not sure where you got this but they said CB 03 01 might be the first viable treatment for women. It gets turned into a completely harmless substance and competes against androgens for the receptors it does not directly change androgen levels although by blocking receptors there might be more free androgens. Who knows for sure, but CB 03 01 might turned out to be a cure for keeping hair.
So best possible case this helps with acne, hair loss for women, unwanted hair growth, and MPB all at once. I hope it turns out this well, but realistically it might not. Getting the right vehicle is going be a huge part of whether CB works well or not.

Where did CB come from? Has anyone actually demonstrated its efficacy yet? Is there a company taking it through clinical trials?

So CB could work for me?
I know my hair thinning is linked to mpb, and I really don't know what I can use to try to stop my hair loss since I'm a female. And I know I'll lose so much ground waiting for histogen/aderans/tsuji/or any type of new treatment to come to market.

I think 2016/2017 is the earliest possible release date last time I checked.

So hope that this stuff hits the market as an OTC treatment one day. My concern is that it won't, and end up like RU-58841.

Hey guys, just to lift up the mood a bit, here's a fact:

10 years ago when ppl mentioned a baldness cure, they had no idea, LITERALLY no idea what the cure was! They threw around words like hair cloning and hair multiplication without even knowing how to achieve it or what are the mechanisms of hair regeneration!

Aderans & Intercytex said it's all about DP cells! Replicel said it's the dermal sheath cup cells! Follica thought it might be Lithium plus wound rolling!!!

They were experimenting but had no hard data! no facts!

Today, we have a hair germ method that produces a natural hair density of 80-120 hairs/cm2! It connects with all surrounding structures! Even gets goose bumps! We did it with both mice cells and human cells! We are capable of multiplying DP cells and stem cells. We can turn skin cells into hair stem cells! We have come up with a bio-scaffold for the stem cell niche! We can mass produce DP cells 35 times in just one passage without affecting their trichogenicity!

All in all, we know ALOT that we didn't know in 2003! In 2003, these breakthrough were unheard of and god-like!

Regenerative medicine is the FUTURE! Research findings are growing exponentially! There isn't one day that you would visit the "Stem cell Blog" and not hear some amazing breakthrough by scientists!

They're manufacturing steaks grown in a lab for gods sake and will be releasing it in June 2013!

So, maybe things are not so bad! I think ppl are more worried about the uncertainty than the actual 10 year mark!

I can promise you guys, that the science is now there! We can do it! It's just a matter of doing all the ground work to make sure it's safe! and for me waiting some 7-8 years to be sure is safe is fair enough!

In the meantime, it's not like nothing else will be available! There are heaps of products in the later stages of trials! They'll be here! Don't worry!

Who gives a s**t about the next generation?

People, don't waste your time waiting for some miracle cure or treatment. It's not going to happen any time soon. Call me a pessimist or whatever. THAT'S NOT GOING TO CHANGE ANYTHING. Saying it's going to take 10 years is also being "optimistic" -not that I believe in such absurdities and superstitions such as optimism and pessimism. As many of you know, "in 10 years..." is something we've been hearing for the past 30 years if not more. And we still don't have a cure. Yeah yeah yeah , we have better knowledge and technology these days blah blah blah. We want to see results. And while we might be unto something, we can almost be assured (unfortunately) it aint going to be in the near future.

If you can afford it, go and get an HT. That's the closest you're going to be to having hair on your head. It's not a perfect solution but it's the only one we have and it IS still better than being bald, and better than being tortured by your hair loss worries.

We still have that scarless transplant to look forward too. Better than nothing.
