Man regardless if Dr Nigam is a fraud or not (I'm neutral right now) I have to give props because he's really put a serious effort forward to work with the hairloss community. And because of that we should soon have a much better idea of the capabilities of HM & Donor Doubling.Leave a comment:

True, however I was being sarcastic. My point being we could use sevenlets or whatever the actual word is. Joke of course. End of the day it shouldn't actually matter! Asking for triplets might mean the current subject isn't good enough or the area monitored needs to be bigger than we anticipated, which ain't good for analysis. So lets allow NIGAM to chose himself.Leave a comment:

Yup. But there are more triples than quadruplets available as donor so it wouldnt do much... though I suppose you could use up all 4s and use however many 3s are needed..... or however much your wallet allows.Leave a comment:

I'd like quadruplets but it DOESN'T MATTER. As long as we know what is extracted then we can validate everything.
It will be a piece of piss validating whether it works or not.Leave a comment:

It also adds the benefit of seeing how 3 hair grafts regrow REALLY EASILY. If you extract only 3 hair grafts and implant them all into one area, you only need to look out for 3 hair grafts as anything else would be either a fail OR not up to par. This makes things much easier than mixing 1s, 2s and 3s. Besides, wouldnt we all prefer 3s anyway? Give me 2,000 grafts of 3s and your essentially getting 6,000 hairs. BALLIN'!!!Leave a comment:

Totally agreed on triplets. 1 hair graft will regrow as 1 hair, but the interesting thing will be to see what happens with 3 hair grafts.Leave a comment:

OK, how about you shave the area first and upload a good photograph today/tomorrow?
As long as we can see every FU in this shaved area, then you can do whatever you want on the day of the operation.
It will be easy to find out which FU's you extracted and therefore easy to see how many 2fu's 3fu's and singles etc you have extracted.Leave a comment:

I agree that triplets would be awesome.
I suggest you do more than 10, we will be comparing your results to the 50 graft test with Gho. This is why I ask for 50.
If the patient does not have 50 triples in a small area then maybe do 25 doubles, 15 triples, and 10 singles.
It really doesn't matter, as long as we have the before photo and I can see how many hairs are in each FU in the monitored area before you do any extractions then it's no big deal.
It is really very easy to take a photo of an area which is 5cm x 5cm and show each an every FU close up and not blurry. You don't need to isolate your self to 1cm x 1cm.Leave a comment:

Lets do 1st test with triplets, if you cant find them them in in 2/3/4 cm2 just use larger donor area BUT we want trips
This Dr is so good, he is actually listening to us and willing to do what we ask..so user friendly
wish gho and others were more like himLeave a comment:

You all decide and let me know,
do you want single, double or triple FU
.Remember it also depends on what type of grafts this guy has got in the 1/2/3sqcm area i shave off to extract the graft.
good point gc, people have around 80 FUs per cm2, he needs to use 2-3cm2 to get 50 singles.
i would be more interested to see 50 triplets doubled to 100 triplets
if he goes for singles that can be manipulated easier, especially if dr nigam can find 50 singles in 1cm2
50 triplets is the way to goLeave a comment:

ok so you are only going to extract single hair FU's and implant single hair FU's? Is that correct?
If so be sure to show us on a high quality picture 50 of these 1 FU's in the donor area before extraction.
My next question, you say you will use a 1cm x 1cm area. Do people generally have 50 x 1 FU's in their donor area within 1cm2 area? That doesn't seem normal to me? Or am I getting confused here?

gc,
Total 10 single follicular units(not 50FU) will be extracted from the shaved donor from 1sqcm donor area. And same 10 bisected single FU will be implanted at the recipient scalp. Why 10 because even the width of videoscope can take the pic of probably all the 10 grafts in 1 shot.Monitoring is easy with the less number of FU.
