Histogen had good trial results, Replicel showed evidence of new hair formation, Aderans have also shown similar results, Dr Nigam & Dr Gho have both shown hair regeneration through sophisticated transplant methods, and Dr Lauster was able to grow a brand new follicle in a petri dish, I must also add that Dr Lauster is working with Dr Nigam to improve his hair regeneration technique.

If you went back to the 1980's you wouldnt see an iota of what Ive just described.

UK, on another thread somebody linked to the fact that the Aderans presentation is about mouse studies for research not related to their Phase 2 trials. Also someone mentioned that Spencer said on his program that per his knowledge no real information would be released at the conference.

All I'm saying is that things don't look excellent. The constant delays, the lack of transparency, the lack of mentioning any trials in this shareholder meeting synopsis, etc. I wish Spencer would look into this because Aderans is our best hope for a strong preventive measure that doesn't include Propecia.

Just knowing that they intend to start Phase 3 or just knowing that their extra Phase 2 trials went well would be a massive help. I'm (sadly) not optimistic at this point. Spencer said an interview would be forthcoming, and I take the lack of an interview as a pretty dismal sign as well. :/

Lets be honest with ourselves, come May 2023 we won't have anything new at this rate other than some scarless variant of FUE. 20+ years and no progress, and this event seems like just a PR and marketing jamboree.

I hate to say it, but, i think i agree with your point of view. We're coming up on 5 months into the year already and Aderans hasn't even mentioned a word about phase III.

My concern is that the data they have so far will not justify the huge expense of a phase III study. The scientists will need to have very convincing data that will persuade the decision makers to go forward with phase III. I'm not sure with what they've shown to date that they have those kind of results. Maybe the completed phase II data will prove to be better then what we've seen so far. But, if not, then i think they'll have a very hard time justifying the expense.

The problem is, that if they do decide against going forward, it probably won't be formally announced. Most likely the course of action would be nothing...maybe some ambiguous statements from the company, announcement of delays, complicating matters etc.. Only to have the year elapse and nothing has happened. We're now almost 5 months into the year and have nada.

I'm willing to wait a bit, but, count me as one of the concerned.

This is true. Out of all of them, i would love to see Nigam make it happen as his would be the quickest available. But, i'm not sold on him yet. Too many questionable things i see in his posts for me to be a believer. But, i'm willing to hear him out and see if he produces. We will no for sure by the end of this year whether his claims have any value.

Dr.Nigam's pictures are shitty too. His website looks like it was made from a highschool student.

The Alchemist is correct, most likely. Aderans' technique looks done for, but we'll probably never get any official confirmation of that, as with Follica.

                  Speculation.

They may still be wrapping things up with Phase II as its still April. Even if they got it done earlier this month, they still need time to collect data, check for side effects, analyze and see where improvements can be made, etc. Then of course they can present their results.

I don't understand why everyones impatience here is affecting their logic.

I just want the link where it shows they're going to be talking about mouse trials and nothing else at the conference in May (the one Histogen and Dr Nigam are attending) - does anyone else have it?

I dont know why everyone sounds so depressed, Dr Nigam has shown some cracking results and is working with some good names (Dr Lauster et al), Dr Gho has shown excellent reults in regenerating donor hair, we will soon be able to have scarless FUE, Histogen are still in the game and they WILL be talking about their trial at the conference. Replicel (no matter how much people hate them) will be starting phase II in a few months... and Follica are completey dead.

Agreed! Cheer up guys. The negative energy are only doing the situation worse. I believe in Histogen, Nigam etc. A solution will come sooner or later (hopefully sooner).

why do you say Follica is dead? Cots is presenting and is still up so research

and how do you know for sure Replicel is going to start phase 2?

I agree with you, great stuff going on, but it's bittersweet as most of us (I'm 25) won't benefit as much from all this as people who are say 10 years younger who virtually will be able to completely beat AGA at least for a few years.

Is anyone actually attending the event? How will we find out what has been said etc? They should release a DVD it would sell by the truck loads.

If anything significant is said it will be reported by media and/or it will come out in the forums one way or another...

So I dont suppose anyone can help me out with the above question? About Kurt Stenn will only be talking about mouse trials but I found this information on the Hair Foundation:

"On the agenda for May 9 is Dr.Kurt Stenn of the Aderans Research Institute, Inc. He will participate in a discussion on the full-thickness skin with mature and cycling hair follicles using tissue culture expanded human cells." http://www.hairfoundation.org/blog/t...hair-research/

It does say human cells, but nothing about their actual phase II trial.
