    It's downright unaffordable.

I'm not gonna care about getting an HT in my late 30's or so when i have a great job and a lot of income.

You care way more when you're in your 20's and 30's, which for the most part means a much smaller income and thus 13-20k for an HT is just out of the question.

India and Turkey offering about 2$ per graft is fantastic, but oyu do have to add in flight($1400 or so) so it's around a 5k discount at the end of the day.

You'll definitely care in your late 30s. There's a lot of guys here in their 40s, 50s, etc with a great job, family, white picket fence... you know, the typical american dream... but they still want their hair.

Having hair is priceless. I'd trade my balding scalp for many of my tangible acquirements.

Not necessarily, some surgeons will operate on you even if you're not taking an finasteride.

What does it solve? I don't know, if you're NW6, having hair at the front to frame your face so you don't have an infinite forehead anymore?

HTs are worthless butchery unless you're a recession-balder and then genetically programmed to stop at Norwoods 2 to 3.5. Otherwise, mutilation, pure and simple. Ban surgeons from carrying out hair transplants, I'm strongly in favour of: just see how quickly we'd get a decent working solution to MPB then once the scalp-mutilating cash cow is dead.

Yeah and the cheapest I have seen from an ISHRS rec'ed member is $7 per FUE graft in the U.S. Let's say I need to get 3,500 grafts for my goals, at $7 per graft, that is $24,500 which is absolutely out of my reach. With Dr. Doganay in Turkey the same amount of grafts, same quality work or even better, for $9,520. With Dr. Bhatti it would be $4,200 for 3,500 FUE grafts.

BTW about the ticket prices being $1,400, I know there are prices like that, but I bought a round trip from Turkish Airlines for $660 in April. My sis who is a flight attendant was going to get me a free ride but the problem is her Airlines only fly to Turkey starting from June 1st, and I absolutely have to get my HT done in April because that is how I scheduled it with the time off and healing process and everything. April is the perfect month that will allow me to be a hermit.

Oh yeah, totally agree, which is why a large majority of men ended up getting ****ed to high heaven over Mercks bullsh1t studies about how benign finasteride is.

If finasteride actually worked as well as Merck claims it does half of us wouldnt be visiting this site, i'd personally be popping FIN tablets every day & be getting on with my life, unfortunately, finasteride is what it is: chemical castration, and no man should have to choose such a state of existence just to save a NW2/3 comb-over.

I am sure you did your homework and these doctors are pretty good. The price difference is just insane. If these prices were available in the US from good doctors, I would get a transplant without hesitation. In the US they charge what they do because they can and people will continue to line up to get it done because they really have no choice.

Finasteride and Nizoral for me until something like CB comes out. Not losing my hair.

Why can't you travel over there? I live in NY and am going over. If you want an HT, go for it with Dr Dogonay, he is very good. You could see his work here and he is a IAHRS recommended doctor.
