Link's to these places? are they respected doctors? In north america FUE is about 7-8$ per graft from a well respected HT doctor, a 1500 graft procedure would set me back 14k which is ludicrous in my eyes.

They are pretty respected from what I have seen in my research.

      Turkey doctors:
Erkan Demirsoy - Don't know the website but he is an ISHRS member - I think he charges 1 Euro per graft.

Koray Erdogan - Same as Dr Demrisoy, ISHRS member - I think 2.5 eur per graft.

Hakan Doganay - 2-2.5 euro per graft

India: Dr Bhatti - $1.20 - $1.40 USD per graft

1,500 FUE grafts with Dr Doganay, who's results you can find on this website(which are great IMO), would cost you around $4,100 that I am aware of. The price includes hospital/hotel, food, aftercare meds, etc excluding flight of course.

With Dr. Bhatti, 1,500 grafts would cost you $1,800 dollars at $1.20 per graft and $2,100 at $1.40. Add in the sales tax, hotel/food costs, etc, it would be several hundred dollars more.

Yeah, I think a surgeon has to have good results to be recommended by ISHRS. You can also find some of his work on this site, just do a search. But the bulk of his patients post in hair restoration network.

Dr Doganay and Dr Erdogan, who both work in Turkey, are two highly skilled surgeons. Their skills are on par with the North American doctors and they are about a quarter of the cost.

I'm definitely considering one of them this year. 1500 grafts would restore my hairline; my hair loss is pretty slow and is only recession, no thinning on top.

Hair loss, not white dots....FUE scarring is not rly an issue unless you keep your hair extremely short or your donor is overharvested

I found Koray Erdogan's website but it's under construction.

They have an email there for any questions however.

Erdogan is my surgeon of choice too, IHRS approved and much cheaper than the top european names. His post-op pictures look fantastic. He doesnt speak any english and requires a translator though.

Because today, propecia is as cutting edge as it gets.

question for those who have used Finasteride.

have any of you considered taking a small dose of an aromatase inhibitor with the finasteride to keep the DHT - Testosterone - Estrogen a little more balanced?

Lol every thread ends up in an argument about fin. Don't act too surprised.

Looks like I'm going to turkey to get a HT if needed. Screw American HT doctors.

Damn seriously. Is it really safe to travel to the middle east for anything, let alone surgery? The price is definitely right though. In the US $8/graft for FUE is pretty ridiculous.
