Finasteride and Dutasteride combined daily, safe or not

I was wondering if taking both finasteride 5mg quarters + dutasteride 0.5g is safe or not? Main reason I'm asking is because I know that the finasteride in question is from a 100% legit source, however I'm not too sure about the source selling dutasteride. So just in case that the dutasteride was weak/ inneffective, at least I can know that the finasteride is doing it's work.

Is this dangerous, overkill etc? And would taking both make either or even both ineffective? Also, the finasteride is from Walgreens, I just came across this and it is extremely cheap. The dutasteride is 0.5mg Dr Reddy's Dutas from inhousepharmacy.com

I have taken both for 10+ months. There was 1 period where I stopped fin for 3-4 weeks I think, but I use it now. Also I take 1mg dut instead of .5 mg

I notice no problems. It should be fine....unless you get sides these are mild drugs. Also it is DEFINITELY not overkill, tbh you will probably be underwhelmed by the results

Probably no point in taking both, DUT is just a more powerful Fin. More chance of sides but if you get zero sides with FIN then sure try DUT.

Depending on your genotype you may respond better to one drug versus the other. My advice would be to go on dut only for about a month, then get blood tests. If your DHT is super low just stick with dut, if it is surprisingly high / in-healthy-range, use both.

Are you out of your mind do not take both at the same time don't **** with your endocrine system you could have major long term consequences.

Also, it's hard to relate any fatigue and potential side effects to the drugs you're taking but you will definitely be feeling worse within a month if you are subject to side effects.

I am not the only one doing this, why would it be so dangerous?

I just dont think its a good idea. Take one of the other dont stack this stuff they are powerful drugs take the minimal needed to get the results. Talk to a derm or doc that knows and see what they say I bet they advise against both

I dont think some people understand the concept of what a drug really is. If your on finasteride which is approved for MPB and easily the most effective thing why would you consider using dutasteride too without even seeing how the first thing works? I would read a little about what DHT actually does before you touch dut.

Studies make it seem like dut is more effective than fin. Also these drugs do not suppress DHT completely. tbh DHT is not a big concern after puberty, it is a crap hormone that makes your hair disappear. The only concerns should be about other functions of 5-ar enzymes & also other hormones becoming unbalanced (estrogen, T etc)

I have been taking both for a couple years now. Also 1mg of dut and 5mg fin..no real side effects to speak of. I started this because finasteride didn't give me great results and dutasteride I was only giving me marginal results so I decided to use both and the results have been quite good..

For the most part dut is superior but there are exceptions

eg.

Blood tests are crucial. You could waste years taking fin when it is doing nothing for you, or years taking dut when you should be on fin.
