I am a week short of 180 days in and seems like my major shed has finally stopped. Hair loss has slowed down a lot and seeing vellus hair along the hairline. Also had my DHT levels checked about a month ago and with a reference range of 16-79 my reading was <5ng/dl.

3 months for me, but it takes 12 months or more + you should also use Rogaine. Dermarolling won't hurt either.

i haven't seen any regrowth at all, not even one vellus hair on the temples/hair line. Scalp is very itchy still and have about 20 hairs on my hand when i put minox on front

i would had thought if it's working id have seen some regrowth by now.

How long have you been on it? Dut that is.
What are the pills called? Where did you get them?
And have you had your Dht levels checked.

nearly 7 months. I Was on propecia for 18 months previously.

it's genuine avodart bought from a registered uk pharmacy. Not had any blood test but am seeing a derm about my itch soon.

Could be the brand of minox you are using? Grnx I use had the same effect.

And as PW said, wait at least 12 months before seriously looking for regrowth. Saying that, I still check in the mirror everyday. Lol.

i'm in a similar boat man, but only just started dut about 40 days ago. my hair is shedding pretty bad and looking pretty horrific. hopefully things will improve soon, but i'm not really gonna freak out until this time next year.

i'm in a similar boat man, but only just started dut about 40 days ago. my hair is shedding pretty bad and looking pretty horrific. hopefully things will improve soon, but i'm not really gonna freak out until this time next year.

Hang in there, my shed was also beyond bad and took until the middle of month 5 to stop (wearing hats became my new hobby). As I stated earlier, now at six months in; shed has stopped, only a few hairs falling per day, vellus hairs appearing along hairline and further back as well, along with a DHT reading that is incredibly low.

DUT optimizes the saying, "No pain, no gain"!!!

Have you looked into shampoos for the itch? There are some good ones out there.

I have been on Fin, twice in my life. Now trying Dut, early stages though.
