Yeah, we probably didnt send anyone to the moon in 1969. If we did, why are they finding it so hard to do it now? Off topic

Hitzig when speaking of Acell is quoted as saying” in our case it heals by regeneration of skin and hair…..I call it like a Xerox machine were basically copying the hairs” hmmm…….amazing stuff can’t wait to see some results.

Having a Xerox machine that copies hairs sounds like a real money maker.

Have you considered using this machine

Just an observation. In 1969 I was 18 and was losing my hair hoping for a cure. We sent a man to the moon that year. There were no desk top computers or cell phones or other amazing gadgets we have today. Over 40 years later I just watched on yutube the video of the latest space ship launch and landing of the 3rd mars Rover. It was a technological marvel and great scientific achievement. To the scientists and researchers involved in hair restoration I would just like to be able to grow some hair on my head. Am I asking the impossible? Just an observation. Thanks for your indulgence.

The body heals itself without Acell but doctors are in the business of selling something that is better so they can make more money but the problem is it’s not better. So they then need to become better at the double talk or talking out of both side of their mouth if you will. Yes it works but not in scar tissue. Yes it works but only on a virgin scalp. Yes it works but only when planting very robust hairs. Yes it works but only in 60% of the cases, guess you might have been in the 40%. Whatever the failure you can be sure they have the answer after all Acell works…….lol……..

EJJ the picture of that scar you just posted is pretty scary.

The video shows the comb being combed through the left side of this patients head, but the description says he had a strip middle and right side so the video isn't showing the strip anyway.

A good fue doctor will leave minimal donor scarring anyway, without the use of Acell, so showing results of grown out fue proves nothing. By the way, in the first link you posted, the hair is parted at the top of the scar, not the middle, so it doesn't show what has grown into it.

Acell certainly does seem to cause aggressive stretching, and imho Acell powder shouldn't be used in strip scar revision, or straight forward strip scar surgery. A good tricho closure will produce a good enough closure to avoid stretching on one strip being taken, but keep on taking strips and you will never be happy with your scar.

The problem is some Dr's are using Acell on scar revision to make things better, but it just doesn't.

Glad I got you laughing though.

perhaps Sparky has only seen pictures like this one taken from another forum , of an acell patient from a Dr in New York .

Makes me laugh how Drs claim the healing is great with acell in fue , my healing with fue from my face is great without it , and these Drs still dont post comparables !

Im unsure as to the Drs `skill level` as it will be interesting and telling to see if these Drs ` invest` in Arty robot to `try` to do fue for them , somehow i dont think we will see Arty lumbering his way into Dr Coles office anytime soon , wonder why that is ?

Statements like this really get me laughing..... When used properly, Acell can play a positive role. Please show me where these patients received "terrible scarring" since as you say Acell only causes such...

Most of the issues i'm seeing and reading about Acell are when it is used in the assistance of healing strip scars. Because it effects the growth of scar tissue, perhaps it causes aggressive stretching?? Perhaps one of the Docs can chime in on this. But to say Acell "only ever" causes terrible scarring is simply wrong.

It is my understanding that not only Does Dr Cole use Acell (personal experience) but Dr Shapiro, Dr Charles offer it as well. I doubt if Acell "only ever caused terrible scarring" Doctors of this skill level would be using it.

    Hi North East guy

Yes im using all beard at the moment .
Ive always thought i healed well , apart from a procedure in Greece were 2 strips either side were extracted resulting in a large scar on one side , my other former strip work healed well , re acell there is a similar result on another forum , scars stretched , large and white , very similar to mine , that combined with a few people who contacted me directly and sent me there similar pictures ,but for whatever reason decided not to post , leaves me to believe that it cant really be a one off or a coincidence ,

i have asked a similar question that you ask to many Drs , why cant they post one result were acell was used in strip on half the strip , half without im still waiting !

    regards

Looking forward to those photo's! best of luck and keep us posted. Are you using all beard hair from this point on?

I've looked at your scars and from the looks of it you have really never healed well. You scared pretty bad before you ever used Acell. How can you be sure Acell may have caused this scar? More than likely you would have scared the same way as before with or without use of Acell.... No? I have never seen or read of Acell causing damage. Usually it Either works or it doesn't......

    Hi Lounk
Beard hair can be used on other areas of the scalp , Dr Bisangas patient advisor has had beard throughout the scalp and looks great , they avoid using it in the hairline or temple areas though .

Sounds like your fortunate to have a good thick beard . Dr Bisanga uses a small .8mm manual handpunch thats left no visible marks on my face , this was a major concern for me prior to going ahead with the repair work to hide my former strip scarring

    hope this helps

Thanks for the great info on bht. what do you think of using beard hair on other parts of the scalp as a fill in after donor hairs are depleted or to save donor hair for front and sides. Dr Umar wants to do a 4500 hair 2day session on me using probably 2000 scalp hairs or what ever he can get and the rest beard. I had an strip job done about 9 months ago of 2300 yielding about 4500 hairs to the front and sides of my nw6 head. Gonna need a lot more to make it look reasonable. Top is bald with some old ugly 1970's plugs in the crown and some in the front. Have fine hair. Thick beard and a weak donor area. I'm an older guy and can't wait for cures. Need to work with the present technology. Any thoughts would be helpful.
