Thanks Drybone, yeah the right side has scabbed more than the left. Its a lot darker brown and covers a larger area. The scabs haven't started falling out yet. Im thinking that because the scabbing is raised more on the right, that it is preventing some grafts from coming through.
I will be posting 1 week pics in the morning.

I dont know about Chris but the right side of my forehead scabbed more than the left side even though the same amount of grafts were applied to both.
I think its different for everyone. Your grafts are fine. I am at 6 months now and it looks great. The hard part is waiting the first few months.Leave a comment:

Cheers jairus, I maybe don't need to take as much time off as I originally thought. I'll be following you progress closely. I can't wear a hat at work no, I'll maybe go for the 3 week to 1 month plan. Getting my consultation done soonKipper if you are worried about the scabbing etc then 2 weeks should be ok.
If u are worried about the so called ugly duckling phase when the grafts fall out and the redness is evident I suggest 3 weeks to a month. Is it possible to wear a beanie in your place of work? If not u may just have to take 3 weeks off, then see where u are. As I said previously, if anyone asks, just say you got a bad doing sun-wise on holiday.
Cheers for the adviseLeave a comment:

Chris/Drybone, did you guys see certain parts shedding/scabbing quicker than others? My left temple is a fair bit browner than the right and when I run my finger over the stubble it seems more smoother than the left. Im wondering if I was rubbing that part in my sleep.Leave a comment:

Hi drybone. Do you have any post op photos on here? How many weeks did you find it took for all signs of surgery to disappear, reddening etc. The biggest thing for me is time off work to get it done as I don't want to tell everyone only close friends. I was looking at taking a month to 2 month off. Or could I get away with 2 or 3 weeks off?

I agree. I had mine done 6 months ago and the people I told didnt blink an eye. And the people who see me now never look up at my hair anymore .
I used to catch them looking up at it all the time. I think its the best cosmetic thing I treated myself to.

Kipper - yep I will be posting pics in a few days.
With regards to the time off etc, I have taken this week off so I am back in next Mon. To be honest Im amazed by how quickly I am healing. You will see the proof in a few days, but the extraction sites are no longer visible in the donor area and the recipient area looks really good also. I have minimal shock loss around the sides and a bit right at the back but its negligible. I have told my family members and one close friend. Nobody cared. I think in this day and age its becoming more readily accepted. I honestly don't think anyone will notice I have had work done when I return to work.Leave a comment:

Great write up - congrafts!
After 5 days the grafts are pretty safely in there, so dont worry too much. Simply respect the HT and try be patient - Mother nature is the ultimate healing agent.
Keep well hydrated and eat well rest up and this anxious time will soon pass.
Heal and grow well.

Dabbed some on this morning with my finger as I was scared that the grafts may get caught in the cotton wool pad. Seems to be ok. I will have another go this evening along with the first shampoo application.Leave a comment:

Yeah you can dab gently at day 5. I held off til about day 7 however. Day 9 is when the grafts can't be physically pulled from the scalp. Did you see the video?Leave a comment:

Hows it going kipper
Im not too bad today. Got a decent nights kip so feel good. Fair bit of itching taking place both in donor and recipient but Im resisting the urge to scratch
No real sign of scabbing yet. I have some mild swelling just above my eyebrows on the left side of my forehead, but apart from that not much. I have been taking the anti-swelling tablets tho and hav been applying the ice pack for an hour a day since I got back so Im sure that is helping.
I will be posting 1 week post op pics on Thursday.Leave a comment:
