I'll even go ahead and say that HT clinics should be the front runner of conducting and/or financing this kind of research as any other treatment will only compete with their business but unlimited follicle supply would be the holy grail for them. Maybe they should spend their money on investing in their future instead of paying exorbitant amount of money to be recommended and advertised on various hair loss sites. Just sayin'...

Did you lose you hair due to AGA? Fibrosis? Burning of the scalp? Did you have a botched HT? Are you a male or a female? Or you just want more hair? Maybe lower you naturally high hairline a little? Doesn't matter! Here take some hair!
      Agree. Regenerative Therapy.. One day..

But the cold reality is that almost none of the "big name" companies are focusing on curing hair loss.

Histogen: They are culturing cells in simulated embryonic condition and harvest the stuff that comes out. And among many other things they are testing whether they can grow hair with it.

Samumed: They are studying WNT pathway manipulation and among other things they are testing whether it can grow hair.

Replicel: They are developing autologous cell therapies and among other things testing whether they can grow hair with it.

Kytheria and Cosmo also develop a bunch of stuff. But I wouldn't even call them big name companies as far as a cure goes.

I bet if the Zika virus will continue to spread as it is spreading today there will be a sh*t load of money and manpower put into the research to develop a cure as soon as possible. I wish it worked the same way for hair loss.

Maybe the western governments should be persuaded that a hair loss cure would boost the economies and balance the aging, declining population and the pension systems as well as all the once depressed baldies would be happily working and making babies with hot women everywhere
