Possibly the most optimistic title I've seen for a technique that's unproven and maybe even cancerous as mentioned in the article. This is a far cry from "a thing of the past".

Prof Colin Jahoda, from Durham University, told the BBC a cure for baldness was possible but it was too soon for men to be hanging up the toupee
Johoda stikes again! I wonder if this is a prequel to the big meeting this week, the Ishrs 2013. Coiln Jahoda is down to speak at the meeting.

This is actually old news, it's Jahoda's research. Dr Nigams already reported on this beginning of this year. Jahoda will speak friday in San Francisco.

Until there's substantial proof this works on humans with AGA I'll agree to disagree

A POTENTIAL cure for baldness which involves cloning hair cells has been developed by an international team which includes North-East scientists.

"More work needs to be done before the method can be tested in humans, but the team is optimistic that clinical trials could begin soon."

If it has to go through 3 lots of clinical trials then this means this is at least 10 years away from going to market. :'(

Thanks a bunch PayDay....I clicked on this thread thinking hair loss had been cured.

                              I'm disappointed now!
