Feel free to post hair count data. But I don't expect a response.
Obviously that's not possible since everyone's follicle sensitivity and DHT levels differ. The only thing we can go by is how much the average drop in DHT is per MG over a time period. And that's exactly what I posted. Now the burden of proof is on you to disprove it, or prove your own theory that you get more benefit taking it daily. Please post your studies for proof.

No, the average drop in DHT over a time period is not relevant. We need real hair count data to determine this. By your logic, dutasteride once a week is just as good as dutasteride everyday, because it suppresses DHT for a week.

The burden of proof is on you - show me evidence of hair counts that show lower dosages are as effective.

I'll take the liberty to post this:

Finasteride 1 mg/day is the optimal dose for the treatment of men with male pattern hair loss and was subsequently identified for further clinical development.

Efficacy was demonstrated for all end points for finasteride at doses of 0.2 mg/day or higher, with 1 and 5 mg demonstrating similar efficacy that was superior to lower doses. Efficacy of the 0.01 mg dose was similar to placebo. No significant safety issues were identified in the trials.

That study proves nothing at all. The objectives of the study were based on daily dosing. They didn't even attempt to do EOD. Obviously if your DHT level drops 50% and stays that low for multiple days, then you don't need to keep taking it if your goal is 50% drop. The average drop over a time period is absolutely relevant.

All of this is just guesswork anyway. The perfect dosage for you is different than the next guy. Desmond's experience here explains it perfectly: http://www.baldtruthtalk.com/showthread.php?t=12698
