I don't know what proof or clinical trials is there for Dutasteride and it's face clearing effects, or what effect it has on the skin. But Since I was 19 years old i've had a minor case of vitiligo, it used to be noticeable until I started using Protopic 2 years ago, then it was very faint, but you can still see it. Now i've been on dut for 16 days and the vitiligo is completely gone. My face is now as clear as day and i'm not taking anything else that could do this to my skin. The protopic all it did was suppressed the vitiligo and stopped it from getting worse. I stopped using Protopic a week ago, now if it was the protopic surpressing the vit, then it should come back. But if the dut cleared my face, then it should not come back. My face hasn't been this clear since I was 18 years old, i'm 24 now.
