Hey Tracy,
Since my family doctor would not prescribe me 5% I had to see my dermatologist to get my prescription for the mino which they compound themselves at the pharmacy.
My derm. told me from his experience only 10-15% of males noticed mino working for them which led me to believe maybe the compounded form pharmacies make (across Canada since they use the same system) is not as good as generic brands from the states...? maybe im overthinking that though haha.
Also I got one of my friends to send me 5% rogaine foam (4 MONTH SUPPLY!!!!) so i am happy about that.
I will try the prescribed minoxidil from here but im thinking of just getting my buddy to ship me some generic 5 from the US.
Do you think it would be bad if one month i used my prescribed mino, then few months switch to a 5% life brand mino from states and even use kirkland or another generic brand if my friend cant always get a certain kind or should I just try and stick to one brand of mino 5%?
