My impression is that this technique is very safe. I think the Acell powder is solely composed of pig bladder material, from which cells have been filtered out. Also, according to Acell, this material has already been used extensively in medicine for other purposes.
Right now, I am more worried about efficacy.
But in spite of everything, I think clinical trials would be a good thing, to test both side effects and efficacy.
The problem is that, as Acell is already an approved substance, I think doctors can offer it without doing any previous clinical trial.
Everything is, right now, very raw, lets see in the following months what happens.
